    @sherargit
    Error: Unable to access jarfile ./libs/bxbot-app-0.8.1.jar
    been on this for 3 hours, still trying various stuff. but help would be nice
    gazbert
    @gazbert
    @sherargit - run './gradlew clean build' before you run './gradlew buildTarGzipDist ' - the README missed this step - I will be updating it and creating new release of bot. Thanks for spotting this.

    @sherargit
    no luck

    ./gradlew buildTarGzipDist bxbot-0.8.1.tar.gz
    Parallel execution is an incubating feature.

    FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

    • What went wrong:
      Task 'bxbot-0.8.1.tar.gz' not found in root project 'bxbot-parent'.

    @sherargit - not sure what's going on here. I've just downloaded the latest release: https://github.com/gazbert/bxbot/releases/tag/v0.8.2 and followed the updated instructions in the README for installing using Gradle: https://github.com/gazbert/bxbot#gradle - and got the bot running. Do you have the same issue when using maven? Anyone else experiencing the same issue as @sherargit ?
    sherargit
    @sherargit
    ok will try maven.
    just to be clear: download the tar.gz in a bxbot folder. in that folder i execute: ./gradlew buildTarGzipDist bxbot-0.8.1.tar.gz
    gazbert
    @gazbert
    @sherargit - Download: https://github.com/gazbert/bxbot/archive/v0.8.2.zip - then follow instructions here: https://github.com/gazbert/bxbot#gradle :-)

    great. worked now, thank you.
    i plan to use it for order management, not algo trading per se.
    i use kraken and it is a pain to use on their web interface

    hi all, is this project still on?
    gazbert
    @gazbert
    @thorjeus Yes it is! I'm replacing the backend with YAML instead of XML at the moment... and the REST API is down for completion (hopefully!) in June 2019. https://github.com/gazbert/bxbot/projects/2

    @thorjeus
    @gazbert glad to hear that. I'm still trying to get it run on my vps and give a try, wish me luck :)

    Hello @gazbert, I'm new here. I read the readme. I haven't found anything regarding backtest.
    1. No backtesting feature, isn't it?
      Other question that I haven't found a quick answer:
    2. Isn't the framework meant to use websocket?
    3. No margin trading, right?
    4. Any reason to don't integrate XChange?
      Thanks for all
    gazbert
    @gazbert
    Hi @Gabri, (1) backtesting is not on the current roadmap - we're looking to complete the REST API for managing the bot and introducing a React UI next... (2) The adapters use the exchange's REST APIs at the moment, but feel free to get involved with adding websocket support if you need it... (3) Correct, we currently keep it simple with spot price trading, but again, if you want to update the Trading API to support margin trading, go for it! (4) XChange is a much richer/more powerful API for integrating with exchanges - BX-bot is a simple bot to get up and running... but if you fancy creating a new adapter/enhancing the Trading API to integrate with XChange, go for it! Right now, the focus is getting the secure REST API complete and building a React UI for configuring and managing the bot. HTH!

    @Gabri
    Thank you for you answers. I'm looking for a quite solid crypto bot for testing and implement some strategies ..I'm evaluating a tons of bots implemented with different technologies ..to choose the one to work on. Working a lot on pine script strategies, and some transpiled in javascript. Still undecided. Thanks for the good work anyway! ;)

    BX-bot 0.12.1 has been released.

    The bot now uses YAML to make it simpler to configure. There's also been a lot of code quality improvements thanks to SonarCloud analysis.

    BX-bot 1.0.0 has been released!

    The bot now comes with a secured REST API.

    All dependencies have been updated too. Well worth taking this release. :smiley:

    @amunishkin
    Hey thanks for your hard work! I'm starting to work on BX-bot too but I haven't worked with REST API and unfortunately the maven build is failing for the REST API tests part. I was wondering if there is something I need to configure for the REST API part before having to build it?
