Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
releases will be smaller
3.0 got too big
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
hopefully the transitioning process wont be very hard
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
no we are aiming to automate it with the Marionette.UpgradeTool as much as possible
there maybe some things that we cannot though
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
cool, thanks for the info again :)
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
@tsm91 I merged the lodash browserify-swap Pr and released a new version
are you still using Orchestra out of interest?
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
hello, good :)

actually, no i dont

but dont feel bad about it, i just decided i'd rather use those libs as they are and not merge them under the same name space

Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
That's cool, it gives you the freedom to swap them out
That's the beauty of marionette
Orchestra is here for those who crave the opinions that marionette and backbone don't give you :)
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
true :)
by the way what about the incremental dom stuff? :D
and the isomorphic php rendering :D
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
So the incremental Dom compiler is coming along nicely
I'm busy getting regions to work as elementPlaceholders
That's the trickiest part
Then it's ready for all marionette biews
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
voah
that sounds really good
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
It compiles most of the handlebars syntax to incremental Dom now
Have you looked at the repo?
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
when you initially posted, havent keep an eye on it
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
That's the one yeah
Okay about with example.hbs to test the compilation of you like
And feel free to open issues for bugs if you spot any hehe
I think this is probably the biggest thing for orchestra now
And the marionette community
A large portion use handlebars, if we can get react like rendering speed it will be awesome!
Also wrapped it in a browserify transform :)
Attila Egyed
@tsm91

hmm nice! i will render out a dummy page and check it :D

so it is not 100% ready yet right? I guess just by the lack of documentation

+1 or the browserify transform, most people today use some kind of compiler (browserify, jspm, webpack)
but i think the majority of bb/nm community uses browserify
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
No it's still a WIP
No test coverage yet either
Ideally it will have a sinilar test suite
to handlebars
Attila Egyed
@tsm91
i hope you can finish it soon :D
and yeah, i think this will have a huge impact on the bb/mn community
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
@joefitter check out the no-jquery branch :)
wow, you've been busy...
amazing!
Andrew Humphreys
@ahumphreys87
lol yeah its needed for ajax etc, still a WIP
also checkout the next branch :)
