You can make a sidechain for BTC at the change of a param file.
But you could also mod the fuck out of it and make something cool

So, mimblewimble-style CT is pretty cool
You save a ton of space..
but you sacrifice things like blinding keys
With G Maxwell style CT, you have 2 keys...
Priv key and a blinding key
You can't see txs between wallets, unless you have the key to see it
So, it can still be fully auditable, if you have a key for that wallet.
Its like, view only key, not spend

btw I had another idea: "Blackload"
like, implement a torrent like p2p system on blackcoin. Use IPFS as a file storage and the blockchain for finding content (no central servers needed).
now, next step would be: Implement a whole internet on it.
like you have in freenet
although the focus shouldn't be on hiding content but rather making it not censorable
so you like surf a webpage, all content is pulled from IPFS where the hashes are found via blockchain. like dtube does it with video but here you have websites, pictures ect
But its like... inspired by IPFS?
Its basically the same thing
Just more... suited to Blockchain stuff.
