We're not going to be exactly the same, but Zork did pretty well in setting the standard for IF for years.

Also, this is pretty much what we're trying to make, but we can't copy it too much even though its ideas are solid because this is a class project: http://heritage.readthedocs.org/en/latest/
It would be easier to just make a Z-Machine in Python, I said. We would get real world experience with implementations, I said. Now the data structure is going towards HERITAGE without me even finding it before...grumble grumble grumble...
