test framework (started) BreakApp/BreakApp#8
An example of getting something randomly from a database
Maybe we should use this method? I am experimenting with it now
Arielle Wilson
@jwarielle
I like how it looks so far. It seems like it generates a random field using Math.random when you insert another document into the database. Then, when you do a random query, it looks for a value that is closest to a random field, using the greater than or equal to and less than or equal to operators.

There is an open issue on the AngularJS repo about Angular breaking CSS :target selectors (what Craig is using to bring up the modals on clicking the icons): angular/angular.js#8478

2) Show app tree in slideshow.
(screen shot)
3) Run app on Heroku and demonstrate.

Craig, I cannot fit all of the css modal in, is it okay if I just include one section?
Brett McCaffray
@bmccaffray

the scroll bars on my pc are really noticeable... i think this would fix it

body {
background-color: # 3FC5EF;
font-family: Roboto,sans-serif;
color: #fff;
padding: 10px 10px 80px;
}

footer {
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
width: 100%;
height: 51px;
height: 55px;
}

pls review pull request... hope we have time in the morning to build in the newbreaks

What happened to the other modals? Even if they are not being used taking them out of the app is a bad idea. It will at least show that we were forward thinking even if they are not functional. I will still have to show this app in my own class to show them what I did and why, it would be nice if all of the pieces I worked on were actually present.

@CraigSGrant
nevermind, i was hasty.
apparently they are hidden behind the log in.

Hey team! I decided to clean up our app a little bit to get it presentable for our Linkedin & resumes. I wanted to put it on a real (non-Heroku) domain and I wanted to learn how to deploy to Digital Ocean, so I forked the repo and made some small fixes. It's now hosted on Digital Ocean and live at http://breakapp.me in case you want to use that link to show it off. Let me know if you see any problems with it. If others want to make changes as well I can always merge my fork back into the team repo.

k, sounds good. I was going to work on the app a bit more (add new features), but that probably wont be for a bit since it doesnt seem like there is much free time atm
