    @ButchersBoy
    yeah
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    just a sec...
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    blob
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    Okay - the suffix prevents the "+" from being pushed off the window
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    :)
    RESULT
    not ideal, admittedly...i remember grappling with that months and months ago
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    Sorry I thought you had said prefix earlier! :)
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    :)
    we got there...so if you add the suffix to your app, does it work?
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    The suffix is easy to use - that works for me. Still the weird thing with >2 tabs getting shifted left when the left/right navigation buttons are added... not a big rush at the moment since there are lots of other pieces of the UI I still have to work on though.
    Can I ask how I would style the prefix to look like normal tabs?
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    well...
    there is a Trapezoid control included in the lib
    have a search for: MahAppsTrapezoidDragableTabItemStyle
    So that Styles a DragablzItem, but you want to set up a similar style for your button
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    OK! Thanks!
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    ...then your next issue will be overlaying your HOME content when the button is clicked, and reverting to tab content when a tab is clicked
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    :)
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    but thats a whole other issue :) you may find it easier to just use normal tabs, with the default close button turned off
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    But then I get back to adding the close button and only allowing dragging on certain tabs! :)
    I might just be able to do a secondary panel on the left instead - might make everything a lot easier :)
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    you know if you use MVVM for the tab header content you can have the close button on/off for individual tabs?
    might be worth thinking about
    Shel2
    @Shel2
    Ah - okay
    Thanks again for your help - I didn't mean to take up too much of your time!
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    i have that up and running in a project at the day job, but dont have a demo to hand at the moment
    np
    good to have some feedback
    CharismaRise
    @CharismaRise
    Best tab control project on the web! I have downloaded your dragablz package from Nuget and was able to create a tab control with MahApps. Is there an easy way to turn on the close buttons on the tabs?
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    Yes. :)
    ShowDefaultCloseButton="True"
    CharismaRise
    @CharismaRise
    Awesome, works! Now last thing, is there a way to disable close button only on the first tab?
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    @charismarise you will be
    Yes
    Sorry...typing on my mobile
    Yes you can "manage" the close button
    Have a look at my git repo DragablzSamplez. In there is a project called "OptionalCloseButton"
    CharismaRise
    @CharismaRise
    So that can only be achieved via MVVM?
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    You could do it via code or XAML...but I recommend MVVM
    CharismaRise
    @CharismaRise
    Great, thank you for your help!
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    Np
    If your next question is "how can I stop first tab being dragged"...keep your eye on demo as I will be setting up an example for someone else this week.
    CharismaRise
    @CharismaRise
    Thanks!
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    @CharismaRise et al: I've just added a FixedHeaderCount property so you can set this to 1 to lock your first tab. Easier than dealing with optional close button templates
    CharismaRise
    @CharismaRise
    That's so much help, thank you very much!

    @l1pton17
    Hello! After draging all items, the tabcontrol become empty. And after that, i can't move a tabitem back to empty tabcontrol. Is there any way to do it?
    James Willock
    @ButchersBoy
    Hi @l1pton17 ...standard behaviour is for the window to close...are you overriding any behaviours?
    Artur
    @l1pton17
    @ButchersBoy , yes, because i have a main window, that contains not only tabs, so i've overrided behaviour, that main window stay alive but child windows close.
