I am having a problem with the github version of the material with caret, if I create a TextBox that saves the text of my application, when my application opens with the text in the TextBox the caret is shown at the beginning of the TextBox.

Example that happened to someone else who posted on github

@iDanny07 there is a property on the PopupBox called ToggleContent that can be set to any content that you like. The default is just a PackIcon with Kind="DotsVertical" and a size of 24x24. So if you want to change the size simply set your own PackIcon with your desired size. You can see an example of setting the ToggleContent here.

@Keboo
@pablokentch that appears to be the outstanding bug #1519. Currently there is not a fix for it.

Good morning, I was wondering if there's a setting to fix the following issue with Snackbar? I'm limited to a very tight space and it looks like Snackbar is hardcoded to minimum width
image.png
ActionButtonPlacement="Auto" or "SeparateLine" doesn't fix the truncation. Thank you

@artipo
@Keboo I've looked into the #1519 and I think I've found the cause of the bug.
It all boils down to VerticalContentAlignment being set to Top inside TextBox styles.
There's also the ControlTemplate trigger that occur when TextFieldAssist.HasOutlinedTextFieldthat set VerticalContentAlignment to Top.
I would submit a PR to solve this but I fear that setting VerticalContentAlignment to Stretch would cause unwanted behaviour and/or style appearance.
Anyway I'll attach an image showing that with VerticalContentAlignment being set to Top, the underlying TextBoxView doesn't use the entire available vertical space. Since that control is responsible for the CaretIndex change, missing the HitTest cause the use of default CaretIndex position, which is 0.

Hello, I am trying to override "TextFieldCornerRadius" of "MaterialDesignOutlinedComboBox" and I am able to see the change in VS Designer of the user control. But in the designer of the mainwindow and runtime, it fell back to the default style. Really appreciated if you can provide some pointers.

Is there a NumericUpDown control? I see some source that eludes to a NumericUpDown, but I don't see an example in the demos.
Federico Rossi
@artipo
@GnahZn1x I don't think naming your custom style with the base style name it's a good idea. The latter get overridden by yours and this could be the reason why th style seems incorrect at runtime

hi guys, I am using a PopupBox in a CellTemplate for a DataGridTemplateColumn. The PopupBox shows up as expected, but when clicking the Save-Button defined as

<Button Content="_Save"  Command="{x:Static materialDesign:PopupBox.ClosePopupCommand}" />

a get an InvalidOperationException: System.Windows.Documents.Run is not a Visual or Visual 3D

When I use the same PopupBox-XAML-code outside of the DataGrid the button works as expected. Do I need to do something special to get it to work within a DataGrids CellTemplate or could this be a bug?

GnahZn1x
@GnahZn1x
@artipo thanks for the suggestion. I will take a try.

Say I have a (popup) window with a dialoghost that I reuse for all my popups. So all the windows actually have the same named dialoghost. So I'm having this Multiple viable DialogHosts. Specify a unique Identifier on each DialogHost, especially where multiple Windows are a concern. Anyone got an idea on how you could do this without going out to create a unique Window file for each?
Jesper Hansen
@jespersh
found a way to introduce two dependency properties that would allow for a randomization of the DialogHost's Identifier name

how to hide the under-line of the TextBox?

Changing the VerticleContentAlignment of a TextBox has no effect to the final visual results. Why?
image.png
Kevin B
@Keboo
@YvesHenri in general you don't want to show large amounts of text in a snackbar (typically only a line or two of text). However if you would like to allow it to be larger there is an attached property you can set like this (adjust the actual value to suit your content).
<materialDesign:Snackbar
    materialDesign:SnackbarMessage.ContentMaxHeight="400">
...
</materialDesign:Snackbar>
Kevin B
@Keboo
@ShannonZ try setting the background of the text box to something like Red just to see the area that it occupies (sometimes the snoop outline can be misleading). I also like to change the parent element of the TextBox to have a background like Blue (just for debugging this sort of thing). Typically your VertialAlignment should be centering the textbox. VerticalContentAlignment doesn't do much/anything if the VertialAlignment is not set to Stretch.
@YvesHenri you can simply set the Background property of the Snackbar to change its color.
<materialDesign:Snackbar
                        Background="{DynamicResource PrimaryHueLightBrush}" />

@Keboo
@silven there should not be anything in the DialogHost control that automatically handles the Enter key. However, if you have a Button within your dialog that has IsDefault="True", that button will automatically get triggered on Enter key presses (this is how most of the dialog samples in the demo app work).
Mikael Silvén
@silven
@Keboo , yes I found that :)

Hello everyone, I would like to ask, does this project include a style similar to the marquee attribute in HTML to make the text scroll left and right?
I just used this project and did not find a similar effect in the demo, so I want to ask. If there is any, I don’t need to write one myself.

Hi, I'm using DialogHost, all is working fine but I'm not able to focus text edit from dialog's view model(through xaml binding; local:FocusExtension.IsFocused="{Binding IsUserNameFocused}" . I have also attached property IsFocused which sets the focus on the given control.
It works fine without dialogs but when I add dialogs (I have defined them as resource) then it seems that:
the bool property is passed properly from vm to dialog but the focus doesn't work.
Do you have any sample usage how I to focus the control from view model (that is the dialog's view model of course).
I appreciate any help
