CNC laser cutter controller, compatible with LaserSaur but better.
Hi all. This is really to just catch any convo that's needed that may not necessarily be quite as focussed as in the trello boards (which can be a little unweildy for discussion), github issues and saves on emails.
Something I was going to point out. I believe there has been activity on the "Controller Board" ticket. The board in the machine at the moment has certainly had some activity on it
There should be a due date on that ticket at which point the current controller board is declared problematic and should be replaced
I think that's a fair point. What do we think is a reasonable period. 2 weeks to declare it no good?
AngusG just mentioned a couple of interesting points about Jon Oxer's laser cutter. I've updated the Trello Controller card
@mage0r Do you know what sort of flow sensor is in there as I will go get a spare and I will rewrite this code as you mentioned would be an "arvo's" activity the other day. I reckon it will only take that long to attack
I think it's a standard adafruit one
Pretty sure Gav had a spare one that was in with the rest of the laster cutter for a while
Oh right - might have a look in the box on Sat when I'm in. If not I'll order one from John
Would someone please send the details on the new laser tube: Manufacturer or Make, Model, Datasheet, and who was the seller?
@ajfisher According to the laser tube supplier, the operating requirements for the laser tube are on a yellow Caution sticker that is on the tube. One thing that keeps showing up is an air hose pointed at the laser lens. Is this something that is missing from our laser?
That's definitely something I'm not familiar with @mage0r any ideas?
