I don't mean to be pushy and I appreciate that there are 250+ proposals. It'd be great to have a rough idea of when I might receive feedback/verdict so that I can plan accordingly.
Hi @pradyunsg Proposal screening (the first round where we check proposal completeness) is finishing up, and tech-review has started on some categories. Our final announcement date is 1st Sep, but we'll inform the confirmed speakers a week of so before.
@h6165_twitter Hello! I have made the requested changes which were about updating the PPT and giving a rough outline. Please add it to the queue of second-round reviews. Note that the powerpoint presentation is currently in progress since the outline of our talk is tentative but it won't deviate much from the one proposed currently. I have also added links to some of the previous talks in PyCon 2019 and PyData 2018 in the 'Content URLs' section. Please see them too! Thanks!
Wanted to connect a few Vision Aid volunteers, as they are very keen on having a participation from their org.
That's great! I have been trying to contact them too! I will be more than eager to talk to them, and see how we can engage them.
They can write to my email address mentioned above.
Hi @h6165_twitter I am not sure, I have enough time to organize my trip from Europe and invite our devs to help with the dev sprint. Also prices are increasing. Any chance to let me know if my sessions and dev sprint gets accepted soon?
Hi @mariobehling (sorry for the delayed response), the reviews are going on, but its hard to say anything about the talks right now. You can consider your dev sprint session confirmed, and plan your travel accordingly. Cheers,
@h6165_twitter I see 252 talks on the link that you just shared. This seems to be a list of all the talks submitted itself, no?
@nileshpatra There's a list of selected proposals too, right below the "My Proposals" button
Hi, I just wanted to ask why is the website showing accepting votes?
@mridubhatnagar thanks for pointing out. something for me to fix
hmm..ok. However, it has been there since the day results were out.
yeah, that was actually the state since we closed the CFP
So there are 33 proposals selected out of 250?
@h6165_twitter , I am very disappointed to tell you that, I haven't received any reviews message during the proposal evaluation, and I guess there was very Bayes decision.
On what basis were the task evaluated?
@Hemantr05@harsh199910 we'll share details of the review process soon as a blog post. Tech reviewers didn't post reviews on all talks, they did that when they needed more info or had suggestions. @abdulwahid24 33 out of 250+33
Hi guys, Can you please let us know when the talk schedule will be released.
