Mainly made this channel to tell @kimmywu that I found another few things we overlooked in the rectangular map PR, in particular:
At some point would be nice to fill in the "not implemented" stuff I added in the second one, although its not super critical stuff.
Otherwise also feel free to use this channel to ask / discuss anything that you think might benefit other people using the code!
