Ok, so here is the scale settings another POS Vendor to interact with both Magellan and NCR scales. I've set up both 7878 and various Magellan models using these settings

hrm, so we moved our test stuff over to multi-lane config with a separate fannie server
we also updated to master instead of the latest release
anyway, receipt printing worked before those two changes, and we just noticed it didn't work afterward
going to the Extra page in the lane config no receipt printer is selected
so we select the correct one (/dev/usb/lp0) and hit save, but it doesn't seem to save, just brings us back to a page with the same with no receipt printer selected

@thefinn93 i too was recently having some issues with configs on the Extras page. The workaround for me was simply UPDATE opdata.parameters SET param_value = '/dev/usb/lp0' WHERE param_key = 'printerPort'
at least until that bug is squashed.

Any suggestions on how to get the customer screen to open on the 2nd monitor?
We're using Debian Jessie & Firefox, and it just opens another tab that is the customer display when the cashier logs in

We're adding support for the NCR7878, and already know how to get the weight, but how do I put that into the weight display in the corner?

I'm pretty sure the behavior of pop-ups and windows vs tabs is controlled by the brower's settings
If the NCR can't output weight info in the magellan format (S11 or S144 followed by the weight) like it can with scans, I think the most practical this would be to add a separate SerialPortHandler instance that can deal with translating between protocols

It's close, it prefixes with 11 followed by four digits for the weight. I don't know how to take that and have it display on the cashier's display in the top right corner where it says weight. Is there something I can pass the weight to that will show it there?

You don't. The driver pass the scale output over to PHP and when said output includes properly formatted weight information the box will update. That's why the solution will involve a separate driver module to pass re-formatted output if the same can't be attained via scale configuration.

Ok, I'll do that. I'm looking in SPH_Magellan_Scale.cs for an example of how it passes the output over to PHP. Is there a specific function to search for, or am I just in the wrong file altogether to see how this is done?
