its also affecting item scanning
its basically acting similar to if I had two corepos cashier screens open
so I can scan an item 3 times, and only 2 will show up

mk, @thefinn93 can you pull CORE-POS/IS4C@b5b3a32 into our branch and I'll give it a go

I don't know if it actually matters from a practical standpoint but it trips up an integration test expectation

Fannie seems insistent on adding a 0 in front of every UPC, regardless whether it is 0 prefixed normally. How do I disable this?

You can't. Everything gets normalized to 13 digits

mk
how'd I set the default department?

There isn't one. It tries to match the left-hand side of the UPC against existing items in the system to guess what a new item's department should be. Failing that it picks the most commonly used department among existing items

Matching is pretty accurate. Most common is much less so but in practice I doubt most common would differ from what's chosen as default.

Also the lane => fannie settings on the lane itself seem to have been reset to defaults
