Hey
What version of Golang is needed for the setup
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@divya-prakash-1 Hello!!
@rakaar Golang v.1.12 is preferable, you can also download the latest version.

@rakaar
On this command: go get -v -u -d ./...

(import path does not begin with hostname)
Tried various things on googling and also reinstalling, this still persists
Can anybody help?
go version 1.12.1
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
This error occurs when you haven't cloned the repository in the $GOPATH
Raghavendra Kaushik
@rakaar
Thank you @muskankhedia
The issue got cleared
Harkishen Singh
@Harkishen-Singh
Please make sure that the cloned repo is in the go path like /home/go/src/github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant

Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@msatul1305 You can get the $GOPATH using the command echo $GOPATH in your linux system. It displays a valid path if Go is installed
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@imbipulkumar Welcome to Productify Project. If you have some basic knowledge in JavaScript you can create some small projects on chrome extension, to get a hands on in chrome extension. You can view the tutorial in the link. The link describing all the features and use of the extension.

@msatul1305
I got the go path .
I also copied the cloned repository to the go path
But still it shows error
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
Execute the command go get github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant then you will find the folder in $GOPATH/src/github.com/Harkishen-Singh
Raghavendra Kaushik
@rakaar
This is my path of the repo: /go/src/github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant
This is my go path GOPATH="/home/rka/go"
on moving to service directory and executing go run maintut.goI am getting this following
module declares its path as: github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant
 but was required as: github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@rakaar the project contains both the front-end and back-end files, to run the server you need to navigate to the service folder and run the command go run maintut.go
Raghavendra Kaushik
@rakaar
Ya I realised that the frontend is working fine, and i am unable to run it locally
But when the issue is when i am running the backend even after navigating to the service folder
rka@rka:~/go/src/github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service$ go run maintut.go
go: finding github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service latest
go: github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service/utils: github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service@v0.0.0-20191203154933-4a3509e8c4fd: parsing go.mod:
    module declares its path as: github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant
            but was required as: github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service
The above is an exact print of my terminal
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@rakaar Have you executed all the steps mentioned in the INSTALL.md file?
Harkishen Singh
@Harkishen-Singh
@rakaar could u pls make a video of your installation process and send the link. That would make the identification of prob a bit simple. Thanks.
Suvid Sahay
@suvidsahay

It seems like the go.mod files needs some update from

module github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant

to

module github.com/Harkishen-Singh/Jarvis-personal-assistant/service
Harkishen Singh
@Harkishen-Singh
Yes. The address needs to be till the /service
@muskankhedia please have a look
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@suvidsahay Presently the go.mod file hasn't been created well. It needs to be updated.
Suvid Sahay
@suvidsahay
May i create a pull Request for the same?
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@suvidsahay yes you can start working for that and create a PR for the same. All the contributions are most welcome. Thank you.
Suvid Sahay
@suvidsahay
May I know what is Travis CI build error??
Muskan Khedia
@muskankhedia
@suvidsahay The chromedriver version used in the Jarvis doesn't support the google chrome version used by the Travis, the chromedriver needs to be updated in the project and then the Travis will work fine.
Harkishen Singh
@Harkishen-Singh
We will fix the travis soon. If you plan to do that, most welcome as well.
