Hello, good morning
the documentation said in the past "Currently it can be used with a zonefile, a binary database support is on the way". That was removed some time ago, but I don't see any changelog or mention of it now working

@giganteous: it doesn't work.
I corrected the misinformation, because it certainly wasn't on the way. (At least not anymore.)
Maybe it was two years ago (the age of that sentence).

@vcunat cheers; I immediately assumed the feature was added . hehe. Is the info about updating the file with new info still accurate?

I'm on IRC, my browser windows kind of grow to the background. I'm lagging behind on the new shizzle :)
I'm referring to the sentence "Binary database can be updated by an external process on the fly"; If you replace the text RPZ file, will that work?

It won't.
In current implementation the file gets parsed when you add the rule.
After that the file won't get touched automatically.
You could certainly e.g. go into the control TTY of the running kresd, remove that rule and re-add it.
Or even write a simple lua module that does this periodically. (We have simple support for timer-fired events, etc.)
