Please run command coredumpctl and check if it lists coredumps for kresd binary.
Output should look like this:
TIME                            PID   UID   GID SIG COREFILE  EXE
Thu 2018-08-16 18:43:13 CEST  21157  1000  1000   6 present   /usr/sbin/kresd
(Most importantly column COREFILE should contain present.)

I see. The corecump was probably not captured if it was not installed.
Please pick one of options from the page above, configure it and let it crash again - we will have more data after that.

Also, please verify that package version is 2.4.1 - command dpkg -l knot-resolver should print version 2.4.1. Ubuntu ships some old packages which are broken in many ways so we need to make sure you are using latest packages from our repository.

@pspacek the random before launching every process sleep `printf "0.%d04" $RANDOM`; dealt with the lmdb issue (of course as long as the random values would be different)
