Deleting the existing node_modules and yarn install the dependencies manually on the host worked but this feels very hacky
Does anyone have a better solution? i was under the impression that docker volume enables sync between the container and the host machines mounted folders

Hi @Sriram-L, Welcome to CloudCV. For starters, you can go through the docs https://evalai.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ and then try setting up the development environment (details in Readme of the repo) and then take up some issues to get familiar. Feel free to ask your doubts/ideas here.

Hi everyone! My name is Ashley, studying in Canada Montreal. I just heard about GSoC yesterday from a friend and figured that I am quite late to this since the proposal is due tomorrow. Any help to get me up to speed would be greatly appreciated!

Hi @Ashley-Xu! Go through the project ideas: https://gsoc.cloudcv.org/
Try to at least setup EvalAI locally before submitting the proposal
so that you get to know more about the EvalAI Web-App
and how it works

are you sure that docker working correctly?
Ram Ramrakhya
@Ram81
@Happytocode24 EvalAI docker setup is not tested on Windows. It would be easier if you can just setup EvalAI on a ubuntu or OSX machine. As most of us don't have a windows machine we won't be able to replicate the issue/failure.

Looks like git is converting LF to CRLF when you clone the repo
You can change it using running git config --global core.autocrlf false

You'll need to clone the repo again after running the above command

This issue can also be resolved by using the dos2unix shell command on *.sh files, just type dos2unix <filename> in the git bash or cmd

fatal: unable to access 'https://github.com/Cloud-CV/EvalAI.git/': The requested URL returned error: 403" ....this error while pushing . Can anyone please help me with this?
savish28
@savish28
Hey @kashish987 You have to first creat a fork of this repo. Push to the forked repo in some branch. Create a pull request from your forked repo to CloudCv repo.
Kashish
@kashish987
@savish28 yes I later understood it and it worked. Thanks Savish .
