@AnhedonicNeko Have you had any success running the Cockatrice server on UnRaid?

@ZeldaZach
ThAts a question

@ebbit1q
running a linux container inside unraid you shouldn't run into any issues

hello, i've never used this before but was wondering if there was a way to incorporate this platform for the new digimon card game. i've been using this program for magic the gathering for a long time and was wondering if something could be made for digimon.
im not a programmer or developer, just don't have the skills but was kinda requesting for a tutorial if there is a way to do this by myself or if i could ask if someone could configure it for the new game. i think it would be really useful for some players like myself. currently tabletop simulator has a way to play but i think the interface just tabletop simulator. was wanting to help the community i'm in and try to get something smoother than tabletop going as well as games would potentially be faster to go through for everyone compared to tabletop

@ebbit1q
hi @Brokdadid_twitter , cockatrice requires the cards to be added in its own format, which is different from tts, https://github.com/Cockatrice/Cockatrice/wiki/Custom-Cards-&-Sets#to-add-your-own-custom-cards-follow-these-steps
so far noone has made a publicly available collection of these but if you have a machine interpretable list of cards it can be automated

Is cockatrice available on Mac with M1-chip?
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Should work with Rosetta on the M1
Juegos.

hi! cockatrice servers are down...
they don't work on my pc
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
there are multiple servers, did you mean rooster ranges?

@yushyin
Hi, I want to host a private server. I can connect via tcp but not via ssl websocket, I enabled websocket without ssl for testing and this works fine. With ssl nginx returns with 502. Any help? https://paste.xinu.at/m-HrGiX/ here are my config files. If someone wants to test the connection and needs the password please pm me. Thanks.
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
doesn't ssl use port 443 instead of 4748?
yushyin
@yushyin
hi @ebbit1q, 443 is just the assumed standard port for https connections. But I indeed use port 443 on the nginx side and reverse proxy it to servatrice at port 4748. So if you would wanna use my server over ssl websocket, you use port 443, if you use 4748 it is websocket without ssl and 4747 is plain tcp. I followed this wikipage https://github.com/Cockatrice/Cockatrice/wiki/Using-NGINX-to-Wrap-Servatrice-Websockets-in-SSL
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
maybe the creator of this guide would be able to help out, @skwerlman doesn't seem to visit gitter very often though, maybe asking through our discord server would be easier
yushyin
@yushyin
too bad that I don't have an account :/
thanks @ebbit1q for the pointer
yushyin
@yushyin
I found the issue, It turns out I don't know how to spell "upgrade". https://paste.xinu.at/m-HrGiX/#n-GSUnlA-22
skwerlman
@skwerlman
lmao i totally missed that, and right as im typing up a reply too
tho i did notice that your base domain is serving the wrong cert
seems like its responding using the config for cockatrice.nihilum.space instead of its own
yushyin
@yushyin
yeah, that might be the case, I don't have anything running on the base domain right now. I should change that. At least serve a placeholder or so. Thanks pointing that out!
skwerlman
@skwerlman

another thing (which i should probably add to the guide tbh) is adding a catch-all https redirect, like this:

server {
        listen         80;
        server_name    *.tetrarch.co tetrarch.co default;
        return         301 https://$host$request_uri;
}

that way if someone connects to the websocket over port 80 they get upgraded to ssl instead of having the connection time out

you can also add listen 4748; to that if you want to upgrade connections to the default port, but in that case you'll want servatrice to be on another machine or use a different websocket port
skwerlman
@skwerlman
actually no, trice doesnt handle 301s apparently? gonna open a ticket ig

I'm trying to run Cockatrice from compiled source locally, before I make some change for a PR, but it hangs when I update card database, any ideas why?
I am essentially trying to create a dev workflow for myself
so I can test my changes as I do them
I see there are not many unit tests in the codebase
so I'm assuming the normal way f testing is manual testing?

@ZeldaZach
Hi there! We mostly chat through Discord nowadays, but if you’re hanging on changing Oracle that’s weird
omegaula
@omegaula
oh, Discord says dev chat is here
ok, gonna switch over there

hello everybody i have a macbook pro and in the app i can't create my deck as on my computer , anybody have a solution ?

@ebbit1q
@ClementBeauchu_twitter did you update your card database?

@_NormZzz_twitter
hi is there a version I can use on my laptop: windows vista?
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
No, vista support ended years ago
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
vista is not a safe operating system to use, it ran out of security updates years ago, please consider your alternatives
on our github you can still find old versions of cockatrice that will be compatible with vista, these will not be capable of online play
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Hey @ctrlaltca You still around?
