@dualmoon
yeah, in the past i've done it and it's been pretty straightforward and not really time consuming. good luck, ping me if you find anything out of place :)
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
I’ll let you know during the week
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
come on people
it's a warning
not an error
protobuf 3.0 compiles just fine
it throws you a warning that it'd like 3.1 so it can enable three warning messages that are in the tests code
do you want me to change the text so it'll be less scary?
this is all it does
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
look what you made me do: #3805
ebbit1q
@ebbit1q
also on ubuntu 16.04 support continuing: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases
see you in 2024
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
to clarify, there are other errors present about git, mysql that lead me to believe there's an issue there too. i'll admit i did miss that the protobuf warning was just a warning, d'oh!
i will try again on some of the servers i have spun up to see what the end result is
technically forcing a code change because of being a ditz makes me a contributor right? :^]
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
oh side note for when someone is online, docker run --name servatrice-mysql -e MYSQL_ROOT_PASSWORD=password -p 3306:3306 --volumes-from servatrice-db -d mysql there's really no need to expose 3306 here right? presumably if someone is wanting to use docker they may have a mysql server already running
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
docker build does fail, above pasted logs are the output. trying a non-docker build now
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
maybe i'm missing it in the wiki but libmysqlclient-dev seems to be necessary for SQL to work
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
hmm well that doesn't seem to actually make it work, just fixes the one message
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
ok between libmysqlclient-dev prior to compilation, and libqt5sql5-mysql after, it's working
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
alright i made a bunch of changes to the docker process and it's officially working :)
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Thank you!!
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
i'll build a PR with the new dockerfile a bit later, then i can update the wiki for mysql users
tooomm
@tooomm
Cool, we can then review and discuss in the PR. Thanks!
Ashley Davis
@dualmoon
day late? yes. dollar short? maybe not :^]
Rob Blanckaert
@basicer
Might be time to dust off that shared zone.
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Heh cool
Shirmaster
@Shirmaster
Hey, will cockatrice ever be released for chromebooks?
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Not in the foreseeable future unfortunately
That’s a whole diff game
Rob Blanckaert
@basicer
Maybe someone can compile it to web assembly
tooomm
@tooomm
@ZeldaZach when uploading the mojave.dmg, did you manually rename our standard "sierra" file from osx.dmg to osx-sierra.dmg?
not sure if the file comes like that from travis :)
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Renamed manually
tooomm
@tooomm
same with our cool version "title"?
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Mhm
tooomm
@tooomm
you added "Faerie_Tales" manually as well, I assume?
Zach H
@ZeldaZach
Yup
tooomm
@tooomm
does anybody use thunderbird as their mail client?
skwerlman
@skwerlman
i do, why
tooomm
@tooomm

@skwerlman on which system?
i always run into the issue that when i delete a mail, the client hangs basically for a few seconds until deleting the mail. that's very annoying :/

do you expereince a similar issue? i sync 3-4 differnt imap accounts with it on windows

skwerlman
@skwerlman
on linux. i havent had an issue with deleting mail, but i tend to use POP3 over IMAP so maybe thats it
tooomm
@tooomm
it's not a new issue, i have that problem since a long time over many versions
hmm, maybe
skwerlman
@skwerlman
google suggests running repair folder on the trash and checking that its actually empty, then running compact on it
tooomm
@tooomm
just did that for all accounts... hmm, let's see
will report back, thanks for the tip! :)
tooomm
@tooomm
@skwerlman ha, it seems to work better for now! very cool :)
tooomm
@tooomm

@ZeldaZach the link in the autoreply message is still wrong: https://www.reddit.com/r/Cockatrice/comments/d4iqkq/problem_with_cockatrice_window/f0cnxh2/

the how to file a ticket for cockatrice link is the old one
