I've written a extension to help people read English, so anyone with Kids or non-native English speakers who want to improve their pronunciation please give it a try https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lett%C3%A9r%C3%A2%C3%ACd/hmdmlpijgepjikjiemfhdgibfpkgpfgk?hl=en-GB

Great idea @tbuyus
Was great getting stuck into Redux again today. I've found these these two resources the most useful when learning Redux:
https://www.udemy.com/react-redux/ (says £180 but I got it for £15)

@tbuyus nice extension. Could you tell us a bit more about what you wrote it in please and your plans for your next app?

@rinse0ut its written in js jquery w3.css and some bootstrap. I have also written an android fairy-tales app based on the same libraries. The fairy tails can be found at webpidgin.co.uk/tools.html. I want to make more phonically interactive books-apps. It would be cool to port this into a reactNative version to make these books available on more devices. I also have a game at http://www.webpidgin.co.uk/games//memory/memory.shtml that teaches the phonics it might be cool to wrap this as an app.
@rinse0ut also chrome extensions are not available on mobile, porting the tools to firefox could remedy this.

@tbuyus You might consider doing a hybrid-mobile app using Cordova, which basically means you can write a web page and wrap it as an app. It’s up to you what flavour of JS your use. I made a simple demo using it here: https://github.com/rinse0ut/hoot
I also made a simple React Native app pulling data from Katjas and Tim’s Today I learned app
Both apps you can install and run on your phone if you have a USB cable and enable USB debugging.

@rinse0ut I used droidscript for the android app btw - I will have a look at your cordova links. And thanks for the github mentoring today. Are there any pre-requisites for these tutorials?

@tbuyus Cool, I see droidscript also creates hybrid-apps, but is much easier to use. Cordova may well give you a bit more flexibility eg datasource, which that tutorial I sent covers. You’ll need Java and the Android SDK installed.

@rinse0ut I will have to get crouton back up and running to install Java and Android SDK?

Yes, it might be best to firstly look at alternatives to local storage and how you would implement it using droidscript. For example WebSQL or IndexDB, however I don’t think they support IOS.

Looks good
@wingedeel I started working through https://teropa.info/blog/2015/09/10/full-stack-redux-tutorial.html#what-you-will-need which seems really good so far
That Udemy course looks good if you can get it for £15 :D
