it's possible that we haven't added the flutter grammar, i'll check with the team.
what IDE are you using?
thanks, I don't have much experience with Flutter, but is your code written in Dart?
okay, we ahven't specifically looked at Dart, so that's something we can add a grammar for without too much trouble. are you getting content assist though? I believe shared coding should still work with Android studio
no content assist either :(
but plugin works for coding, there is just nothing highlighted and no suggestions when typing
@brianfernandes_twitter I'm trying to use bitcoin core for my website but I don't how to do it without using any api, it will be appreciated if you can be of help, thanks for your time.
Hi, first time user here, this is really interesting. Is there any way for two users to use CodeTogether at the same time from VSCode? Or is only the Host from VSCode?
Hello! I just installed the IntelliJ plugin via the file on the website. I was able to host a session and try it out locally. After ending that session, I was unable to connect to the server. Restarting, logging out and back in, uninstalling and reinstalling the plugin did not help. I uninstalled the plugin and installed via the IntelliJ marketplace and that seems to be working again. Just wanted to give a heads up!
Hi, for some reason, I cant use CodeTogether. It is always stuck on Connecting to CodeTogether. I have reinstalled the plugin and restarted Eclipse.
I just installed CodeTogether in IntelliJ 2020.2. I am logged in, but when I try to start a session I see an error that says "Code together was not able to connect to the server". What can I do?
Next question: from the documentation, it doesn't look like both participants can use IntelliJ, only the host can. Is that right?
that is correct, only the host uses the IDE, the rest join via browser.
Got it, thanks!
Hello. I also have the connection issue: "CodeTogether was not able to connect to the server. Please check your network connection or get help by going to Help > CodeTogether > Chat on Gitter..."
I'm not using Firewall / Proxy.
Hello, getting the connection issue saying "We are having issues trying to connect to wss://s23a.edge.codetogether.com:443/remote/host. Unexpected server response: 502". Please resolve it, it's a bit urgent.
hello Prajawal, were you able to successfully connect before?
Apologies to those of you who experienced issues getting a session started today, we had an issue with one of our servers, which has now been resolved. We've taken the opportunity to put additional monitoring and repair actions in place, so dection and recovery from such situations will be faster in the future. If you continue to experience connection issues, do let us know. Thanks!
Hi, I have used CodeTogether a few times and noticed that there is no capabilities for the browser-based participant to compile their code. Is this correct?
CodeTogether 2.1 Released
In case you missed it, we released 2.1 yesterday - has some new langauges supported, you can hide files and folders from your participants, and we fixed an important Coding Alone bug that affected IntelliJ hosts. Read more in our blog
Dear Codetogether Team: many thanks for your brilliant work !
Hi everyone, are there any larger communities here on gitter?
@xAirx for CodeTogether, no larger communities on Gitter - this is our official community
@astridsawatzky_gitlab thank you so much for your kind words and support!
@xAirx but if you stick around we are already 2 to stick around (in addition to the lovely staff)
Hey all, any plans to support open source editors like Emacs or Vim? (Ideally Emacs first 😃)
hey Aaron, not in the near future, I'm afraid - thanks for checking. We are going to be adding Vim / Emacs keybindings to CodeTogether, if that helps! (yeah, I prefer Emacs to Vim too!)
@aaronjensen I j ust had a looka t your feature request on github. If you have VS Code developers in the session too, you could have them host the session with CodeTogether, you could join from the browser. right now, we don't support IDE to IDE development, so one line user in the session (the host) would be using an IDE anyway.
Ah, I misunderstood what the product was then.
In that case, please disregard my suggestion. I was hoping for a liveshare replacement.
no problem, thank you for updating the request.
Hey I need a help
How do I apply
I am using eclipse
I can't get the changes from a pair in a sharing session to be visible. We both use PyCharm IDE. They see my changes in the PyCharm IDE, I see their cursor movement in the browser, but when they make any changes to code in the browser I don't see it. We are both signed in to CodeTogether. I hosted the session and I see his name as the person I'm sharing with. Am I misunderstanding the way things are supposed to work?
how can the non-host perform terminal-based operations?
