Same s43a URI?
marouan-itu
@marouan-itu
Yes, I may believe that it because I am using Linux Mint, but I am a beginner at this :)

Detailed connection trace:

  • Connecting to wss://s43a.edge.codetogether.com:443/remote/host

wss://s43a.edge.codetogether.com:443/remote/host could not be accessed

@TimWebb
Unfortunately we did have some issues with our servers today during an upgrade of our backend. I see hosting on another edge server working correclty but S43a seems to be struggling. Our servers will be stabilized properly in the next 25 minutes or less. Very sorry for the inconvenience caused

@marouan-itu
Ok I see, then at least it is not something locally wrong with my computer setup
Since it could be my internet firewall port that is wrong or something
Timothy Webb
@TimWebb
I believe the issue is on our side, double checking though.
Will have more data for you shortly.

Is there an integrated chat? We'll probably use discord or teams, but having it in the ide or web
...might be helpful
Brian Fernandes
@brianvfernandes
not yet, but text chat is something on our longer-term roadmap.
Jerry Gannod
@gannodg
ALSO, when chatting here during a session the mouse gets grabbed when someone else in the session edits the code

Hello, How can I properly join a Intellij Host session with Intellij, its a Maven Java project and once I join, I cannot create Java classes and all Maven features are not available, when the Host creates a Java Class, the Guest (me) is not able to Import anything

@TF7Johni_gitlab : What exactly happens when you try to modify the pom.xml? Do you see any errors logged in the IDE?

Can you record a session while pair programming?
Brian Fernandes
@brianvfernandes
@azaemw9294 CodeTogether does nor provide an inbuilt recording capability. You could use an external screen capture tool, of course.

The client doesn't have any code completion when using the JetBrains plugin
I am using the plugin with a Unity project
Is this expected?
Timothy Webb
@TimWebb
Definitely not! If you are able to capture details, perhaps in a GitHub Issue we can check on Monday. Are you running the 3.2 version of the Client? We did fix an issue where before you had to explicitly trigger code completion vs. it being automatic.

Since upgrading 2 days ago, I cannot connect to the server. I stop/start the session, restart PyCharm (doing this all in IDE), and it cannot create a session. Is there an outage or something I need to reset?

We want to keep the source code .jsp and .java files contained within our own system. We have a private github repository but it is for backup and commit note purposes only.<br><br>I have two developers working together via Zoom currently since Zoom does a good job with not allowing people to copy code outside of the system by default. The trouble now is that only one file can be edited at a time by a coder. I would like them to be able to at least make changes to different files simultaneously inside Intellij and without having to let the source code go outside of the system.<br><br>Assistance with this is greatly appreciated.

I tried this with two members of my team today. The experience was challenged. While it does look like I can enable editing for both parties, my ability to interact was completely locked up.
I even had to uninstall the plug-in before I could interact with IntelliJ again. Even a restart of IntelliJ did not get me back control.
