@ddusabimana Hi guys, My name is Daniel. I just joined the course and my ultimate goal is to become a full stack web developer. Base on many reviews, I hope this is the best course to start with.
I am looking for an alternative to cloud9 - finding it impossible to join.
So that I can study the next parts of the development course with the yelp camp section.
Can anyone offer any suggestions in what I should do - would appreciate your help.

@markdiginomad what problem are you having with cloud 9? Do you have a github account?
@MalcolmAnderson it requires a cc now even though they don't charge anything. @markdiginomad you can use a prepaid card/debit card or if those are not an option sign up for cs50 and they have a "student" c9 that doesn't require that

@boomer1204 Thanks, wasn't aware of that. @markdiginomad , what about codepen?
@MalcolmAnderson you can't do the backend stuff with codepen. You could use something like gomix but anything you use will be different than c9 in how you work with it so if you are new and not very tech savvy that could be a deal breaker but any cc/db/prepaid card works
or you could always just do it locally but again if you are non tech savvy that could be problematic
@Geiser9 thank you!
Sigh, anyone here good with storing variables while doing websocket-calls on NodeJS?
