    Not really the best solution but it can work for now. This only looks for the word and not the order of the words in question.

    was working on the tic tac toe exercise & came up with a different solution. However, noticed something strange - when I comment out the border-collapse property in the table css, the vertical lines of the tic tac toe board vanish. Why would this property be necessary for the vertical lines? Link to code here: https://codepen.io/yasharth02/pen/qRmXRj

    I am stuck on an issue with cloud9; I can not copy text from a url or text editor, etc; then paste into cloud9. I need to always manually type. Is there a fix around? Really do not want to spend tons of time typing out lines of code from scratch :worried:

    Hello everyone! I need help with a project. Say i wanna build the exact to-do list application that Colt did in section 18. But i want the tasks to be stored in the database, via AJAX requests. How can i manipulate the DOM and the database consistenly at the same time? Has anyone done a project like that? (sorry for bad english)

    @123xylem if you go on font awesome website you can get a link to use which will be something like HTTPS://use.fontawesome.com/ it's a JavaScript link that you can just copy and paste

    Hi there. I have a question. I want to add a big HTML code inside my HTML, but as a text and not html format. Is that possible?
    PhiltreDev
    @Philtredev
    You can use < and > to show < and > as text in your html
    lol gitter you silly thing you
    & lt; and & gt; without the spaces
    and it makes <> show
    PhiltreDev
    @Philtredev
    for example & lt;html& gt; again with no spaces will look like <html> on your page
    Panormitis
    @Panormitis
    Ok thank you! Will try
    PhiltreDev
    @Philtredev
    if you are trying to display code the way it looks in your IDE on your website, then I would reccomend googling the whitespace css attribute. it has a value that may be useful for what you are doing
    Panormitis
    @Panormitis

    <p id="p1">metacharset</p>

    var content = document.getElementById("p1");
    alert(content);

    I get a null alert with this code
    Why this could happen?
    Boomer
    @boomer1204
    code runs top to bottom so if you are running your javascript first the <p id='p1'> hasn't been rendered yet and will return null
    Panormitis
    @Panormitis
    no that line is in html
    Boomer
    @boomer1204
    i know that but if you are running your javascript or <src> before the html you will get null
    what is ALL of your code. Please use three ` before AND after your code and they have to be on their own line
    Panormitis
    @Panormitis

    ```<!DOCTYPE html>
    <html>
    <head>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="test.js"></script>
    <title></title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <div style="visibility: hidden">
    <p id="p1">metacharset</p>
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>```
    Boomer
    @boomer1204
    the 3 ` need to be on their own line
    also your code is not working for the reason I gave previously
    code runs top to bottom so what is the first thing to run?
