    Hello all! Do anyone experience problems with login to the 'demo' app at https://demo.uport.me/ using uPort Android app? I am scanning the QR-code successfully with the uPort app and pressing 'SEND', but the 'demo' does not seem to receive anything.

    @ToJen I was sure that any Hackathon works this way: you get an open-ended subject (in this case - something that uses uPort and Ethereum in a smart and creative way) and you are free to implement something cool, which will impress the judges, competitors, and anybody who will see what have you created.
    Btw, if you still have not seen it, here is the whitepaper on uPort: https://whitepaper.uport.me/uPort_whitepaper_DRAFT20170221.pdf which explains what was it created for, and thus outlines a good intial direction for your thoughts.

    @kondakovdmitry_twitter Works perfect for me

    @park_regis_twitter Thanks for your reply - it helped to know that it works for someone. I just found that I used the old uPort app version (1.4.219). With new one (1.5.279) it works indeed.

    Hi
    I've got a problem with depositing some eth onto my uPort eth address
    I need some eth on the account to use for gas etc
    I've tried opening two different accounts, but the problem remains
    Joel Thorstensson
    @oed
    @radek1st looks like you are sending to little gas for the tx to be confirmed
    Radek Ostrowski
    @radek1st
    thanks, sorted it out, but forgot to write back
    indeed gas was the problem
    can i link my existing eth address to uport?
    Joel Thorstensson
    @oed
    how do you mean?
    your uport account is not a regular account but a contract called a proxy
    Radek Ostrowski
    @radek1st
    @radek1st
    I have a weird issue. I'm trying to call payable function and send 0.1 eth
    but on the uport app I'm getting a request to send 295.1479... eth
    DApp.walletContract.at(walletAddress).topup({from: DApp.currentAccount, value: 100000000000000000})
    any idea why such a difference in eth value?
    IMG_4512.PNG
    Radek Ostrowski
    @radek1st
    trying to send 0.1 eth it attempts to send 295 eth
    trying to send 0.00001 eth it attempts 0.00450... eth
    and in between in case someone can figure it out:
    0.01 -> 18.44; 0.001 -> 1.1529; 0.0001 -> 0.0001 -> 0.07205
    Radek Ostrowski
    @radek1st
    and sending >= 1 ether generates the request for approval with no ether to be sent at all
    Radek Ostrowski
    @radek1st
    I created an issue here: uport-project/uport-connect#90

    Sign, topcoder page is so slow that I cannot log in.
    Makoto Inoue
    @makoto
    Are there anyone having problem logging into topcoder?
    Tomisin Jenrola
    @ToJen
    not here @makoto
    did anyone go through the documentation for uPort?
    Makoto Inoue
    @makoto
    I went through their guide page, worked fine
    Tomisin Jenrola
    @ToJen
    did you only have a main.js and index.html file? @makoto
    i'm on the first part of the tutorial and i keep getting an error complaining about the first {
    Makoto Inoue
    @makoto
    I copied all the files in the webpack bin page
    It's called 'playground' I think
    Tomisin Jenrola
    @ToJen
    yeah and you just opened index.html?
    Makoto Inoue
    @makoto
    I think I served via python -M SimpleHTTPServer or something like this.
    If you just open index.html, it may not load js

    @christianlundkvist @oed Can you guys answer on my question at the topcodar forum https://apps.topcoder.com/forums/?module=Thread&threadID=909993&start=0&mc=5#2233363 ?
    It's criteria for whether we can open source the result regardless of winning or losing. Topcodar says winning will belong to Consensys but they say they have to heck with you guys about non winning submissions.

    Is it possible to sign in to one dapp using uPort identity of another dapp? E.g. if I want use an app identity (which I create with AppManager at https://developer.uport.me/myapps.html) as an identity for a device (or bot), how can I sign in with it to another app? If app identity is not intended for such use, is there any other way to create identity for a device/bot?

    Hi all,

    I just found this hackathon via the Consensys newsletter but it looks like final submissions are due December 21? Is this still the case or has the deadline been extended?

    Zach Gollwitzer
    @zachgoll
    And if it is Dec. 21, why did Consensys just now send out an email?
    David Perrenoud
    @davidperrenoud
    Cool challenge, good luck everyone!
    Is anybody integrating with the Zug ID? If yes just ping me
    Alex Edelstein
    @Alex_Edelstein_twitter
    @makoto All submissions will be open sourced, regardless of winning.
    @zachgoll Yes, the deadline will still be the 21st. Apologies for the short notice -- we've been promoting the hackathon since Dec 1st, ConsenSys was just sending out a reminder/update.
    Zach Gollwitzer
    @zachgoll
    @Alex_Edelstein_twitter no worries just wanted to check!
    Tomisin Jenrola
    @ToJen
    @Alex_Edelstein_twitter will there be announcements made ahead of future hackathons?

    @Alex_Edelstein_twitter
    @ToJen yes absolutely
