    Hello all! Do anyone experience problems with login to the 'demo' app at https://demo.uport.me/ using uPort Android app? I am scanning the QR-code successfully with the uPort app and pressing 'SEND', but the 'demo' does not seem to receive anything.

    @ToJen I was sure that any Hackathon works this way: you get an open-ended subject (in this case - something that uses uPort and Ethereum in a smart and creative way) and you are free to implement something cool, which will impress the judges, competitors, and anybody who will see what have you created.
    Btw, if you still have not seen it, here is the whitepaper on uPort: https://whitepaper.uport.me/uPort_whitepaper_DRAFT20170221.pdf which explains what was it created for, and thus outlines a good intial direction for your thoughts.

    @park_regis_twitter Thanks for your reply - it helped to know that it works for someone. I just found that I used the old uPort app version (1.4.219). With new one (1.5.279) it works indeed.

    I've got a problem with depositing some eth onto my uPort eth address
    all trasfers fails: https://rinkeby.etherscan.io/address/0x31765b04e9c78e41e8977451ef1c286ccf803825
    I need some eth on the account to use for gas etc
    I've tried opening two different accounts, but the problem remains

    your uport account is not a regular account but a contract called a proxy

    I have a weird issue. I'm trying to call payable function and send 0.1 eth
    but on the uport app I'm getting a request to send 295.1479... eth
    DApp.walletContract.at(walletAddress).topup({from: DApp.currentAccount, value: 100000000000000000})
    any idea why such a difference in eth value?

    trying to send 0.1 eth it attempts to send 295 eth
    trying to send 0.00001 eth it attempts 0.00450... eth
    and in between in case someone can figure it out:
    0.01 -> 18.44; 0.001 -> 1.1529; 0.0001 -> 0.0001 -> 0.07205

    If you just open index.html, it may not load js

    It's criteria for whether we can open source the result regardless of winning or losing. Topcodar says winning will belong to Consensys but they say they have to heck with you guys about non winning submissions.

    Is it possible to sign in to one dapp using uPort identity of another dapp? E.g. if I want use an app identity (which I create with AppManager at https://developer.uport.me/myapps.html) as an identity for a device (or bot), how can I sign in with it to another app? If app identity is not intended for such use, is there any other way to create identity for a device/bot?

    I just found this hackathon via the Consensys newsletter but it looks like final submissions are due December 21? Is this still the case or has the deadline been extended?
