Sorry for the random question, but how would one set the color of the Razer logo light on the Blackwidow Chroma? I can't see it in the key enums, unless it's hiding under an odd name.
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
Hm, it doesn't seem to be possible
the enum (in Razer's SDK include files) doesn't contain an entry for the logo and trying to access it via grid positions (row 6, column 11) is out of range
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
It wouldn't be on it's own row you don't think? Like row 7, col 1 or something random like that?
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
the include file (RzChromaSDKTypes.h) has Keyboard::MAX_ROW set to 6, and it's zero indexed so that covers the rows from the top (with escape) to the bottom (with ctrl, alt, et.c)
it could be somewhere in the grid i guess, but there doesn't seem to be anything documenting where
oh
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
Can you ping Row 0, Col 20?
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
i found it looking at the corners
Row 0 Column 20 is the logo
at least on the blackwidow i have (full-size with orange switches)
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart

So I can use something like:

Keyboard.Instance.SetPosition(0, 20, col, clear);

to set it right?

Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
yes, or with the indexer: Keyboard.Instance[0, 20] = someColor;
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
Excellent, that seems to work. Thanks so much!
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
huh, apparently there is an RZLED enum for the keyboard in the sdk sources
with a single entry for the logo
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
interesting

How would I go about querying the color of a specific key using Colore?
I'm guessing it has something to do with the "Color Corale.Colore.Core.Keyboard.this[Key key]" command, however I'm not entirely sure how to implement this
Adrian
@WolfspiritM
@roxaskeyheart if(Corale.Colore.Core.Keyboard.Instance[Key.A]==Color.Red)
You mean something like that?
Nico
@njbmartin
that is correct, but only if set using Custom / indexer
Dariusz Niemczyk
@Palid
@njbmartin have a look at priv please :)
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
Oh so it has to be set before it can be queried then. That makes sense, though I was hoping to be able to get the color of a key before I changed something using Colore. Oh well :( Thanks for the help though!
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
When an app starts all the colors are initialized to black and we do not have access to any possible existing colors set by other apps since that's on a different layer.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a way to set individual keys on the Razer Orbweaver Chroma's grid. Is there functionality in Colore to do this?

http://developer.razerzone.com/wp-content/uploads/led-profile-orbweaver-chroma-org.png

Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
The orbweaver should be accessible via keypad if I'm not mistaken, does that work for you?
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart

Oh so something like:

Corale.Colore.Core.Keypad.Instance[row,col]

would work then?

Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
Yep
I think keypad and headset are probably the least tested ones so if you find any issues or have suggestions for it don't hesitate to mention them ^^
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
Alright no worries, I'll let you know how I go. :D
Nico
@njbmartin
@roxaskeyheart So that's what you were doing with the orbweaver :P Superb work!
Roxas Keyheart
@roxaskeyheart
@njbmartin thanks man! It is a work in progress but would love any feedback/suggestions. :D

Hey guys, is anyone online right now, who can help me with a unity-related issue?
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
haven't done anything in unity so probably can't help
Christopher Guckes
@cguckes
Hi, maybe you can point me in the right direction though. I can run a sample application that makes the keyboard red from visual studio, but when I try to run the same code in unity, I get an exception, saying Colore.Core library couldn't be found. I placed the library in the same folder as the mod the game loads. Is there a way to include the Colore dll into the mod dll? I'm pretty new to c# and unity, so sorry, if I'm coming across as completely ignorant...
Could I just copy the barenaked source code of the library into the project for testing purposes?
Adam Hellberg
@Sharparam
not sure where it's supposed to be put, it's in some special folder that Unity loads libraries from IIRC. I think some other people in here are doing dev work in unity using Colore so they would know, but not sure when they will be available.
Christopher Guckes
@cguckes
Ok, I'll just linger and see, if anyone comes around. Thanks :-)
Christopher Guckes
@cguckes
@njbmartin are you there by any chance?
Nico
@njbmartin
I have been summoned
from my understanding, you're trying to load the colore library into a unity made game using a mod
Christopher Guckes
@cguckes
right :-) thx for coming
more precisely its kerbal space program
afaik they use the 2.0 subset of mono shipped with unity
is there any way to get colore to work with this game?
Christopher Guckes
@cguckes
I would be happy to try to get around that restriction, if you can tell me, which part of the Colore-Code clashes with the subset library. If that is at all possible...
would it be rude to shout him out again?
Christopher Guckes
@cguckes
@njbmartin I'm sorry to bother you again, is there any chance to get this to work?
Nico
@njbmartin
I'll need to look into it some more, simply because im not sure if Colore would be able to work with it
