hi
Does anyone know how to solve the "No partitions found!" error?
nifanfa
@nifanfa
If you are running the operating system on real hardware. I guess that’s because Cosmos doesn’t have a driver for your disk controller

How in the world can you get files into the VFS? No way to mount the vmdk and no way to access embedded resources
Phil Garcia
@tgiphil
Lots of ways. Linux has standard tools to do this as you can treat a file as a disk.
MOSA project also has a builder tool create disk images, fat partitions and copies files into it, including syslinux or grub, and builds an IMG file, then converts it into a vmdk, if desired. The code is BSD.

Hi all (again)
after so much absence
I'm back and maybe will try to write some more COSMOS related code
I wonder ... what's new? I checked the commits but... did you add double buffering?

I may as well implement that feature into one of the operatings systems I am creating through Lua
It will take time though

hi I am facing issues with drawing an image on canvas, its very slow and some times even mixes two different images. I am new to cosmos so don't know much. I am using an image of 32 bit with 300dpi and 996mb. I don't know if certain types of images load faster on Cosmos OS. Is there any standards for drawing image on canvas in Cosmos OS or is it due to my VMware?
Edit: I am using User Kit 20190628

Perhaps there is a way to lock this, and leave a singular message to redirect to the discord

Hi, What are all the ways I can display an image?
Does Visual Studio Resources work with Cosmos?
nifanfa
@nifanfa
obviously not
os development is different from application development
TheUnknown
@TheUnknown-007
Ok i see...
I guess I will have to implement my own Image Display-er because Cosmos doesn't have one by default. or does it?
Can you suggest me pre-made solution cuz im dumb at such tasks.
Thank you :)

@nifanfa
use Canvas.DrawImage
@TheUnknown-007
there is a image display-er as you said
in cosmos
TheUnknown
@TheUnknown-007
@nifanfa Isn't that just a struct? There is no implementation
nifanfa
@nifanfa
Use FullScreenCanvas.GetFullScreenCanvas()
but it's not a doublebuffered thing so it would be tough to use
@TheUnknown-007 are you NoFx?
i don't think Cosmos's canvas will be better in drawing mouse cursor
