Is there a demo app for doing password management yet like mentioned here: https://developers.covenantsql.io/docs/en/usecase_traditional_app
Just want to try things out
auxten
@auxten
sorry, we have not done that. I think it will be something like input your private key, and get thing listed. https://github.com/PhilippC/keepass2android will be a good project to do it on.

@ghost~5508905815522ed4b3dd685d
not for me. Its java.
Was looking for just a golang CLI app
nice and simple
Morning btw :)
Am just trying to get anything runnig so i can play with the system. Maybe i should use the Quandi example: https://developers.covenantsql.io/docs/en/usecase_data_analysis
Do you have a github with the quandi example setup for it maybe yet ?
i mean a github repo .
auxten
@auxten
Morning, the quandl stuff, are you familiar with python?
auxten
@auxten
The quandl data is contributed by community: https://github.com/melancholiaforever/CQL_Excel
Accessing the quandl data with python is quite easy:
  1. download the certs: https://pan.baidu.com/s/1Xpf6_A849O8t507K0VGQ4w
  2. pip install PyCovenantSQL
  3. connect to the db
    import pycovenantsql.cursors
    connection = pycovenantsql.connect (
     host='e.morenodes.com',
     port=11111,
     key="read.data.covenantsql.io.key",
     https_pem ='read.data.covenantsql.io.pem',
     database='057e55460f501ad071383c95f691293f2f0a7895988e22593669ceeb52a6452a'
    )
  4. query
    with connection.cursor() as cursor:
     cursor.execute("select * from quandl_updateindex where databasecode like 'BIS' group by quandlcode limit 1000")
     cursor.fetchall()

I am a golang person.
It looks like a good way to get into it
I think i could convert quandl to golang but i doubt you want that actually. Better to have a Pything demo for pything programmers
I am wondering if your SQLite with the crypto plugin will run on Windows. Have you got the Windows version in CI ?
auxten
@auxten
Have not tried on windows, but as it does not depend on any other libs like openssl, it should work.

Hi Team, I am trying to implement CovenantSQL using private deploy user guide, I am facing some problem and confusions as well -
  1. I have created database using node_c config.yaml but unable to connect through javascript (I am following CovenantSQL javascript user guide)
Tamajit Ghosh
@tamajit_gitlab
  1. "cql": {

     "endpoint": "0.0.0.0:11105",
     "database": "0a10b74439f2376d828c9a70fd538dac4b69e0f4065424feebc0f5dbc8b34872"

    }
    I have created a database(id : 0a10b74439f2376d828c9a70fd538dac4b69e0f4065424feebc0f5dbc8b34872) where already I have done some read write operation through the console and those logs can be seen in the explorer.
    I am using this config file to connect that database, but cql.createConnection() is returning null connection object.

  2. I have created config.yaml and private key using cql generate but I am failed to create database using those files

auxten
@auxten
the endpoint config should either point to 'https://testnet-proxy.covenantsql.io’ or local proxy set by your self.
in your case which deployed by docker, the endpoint should be "127.0.0.1:11105"
@tamajit_gitlab
sorry for the late response.

Hey guys! Are there any rough performance numbers (TX throughput/latency) of Covenant SQL available?
Gopalakrishna Palem
@KrishnaPG
@auxten what is the role of PTC? To add data to the DB, and query the data from DB, is PTC reqired?
Gopalakrishna Palem
@KrishnaPG
@auxten for Testnet it seems PTC are being "donated". How does a user gain these PTC in a real-world scenario (e.g. private deployment in, say, docker)
akjhacse
@akjhacse
@auxten . I am using go-sqlite3-encrypt for encrypting sqllite db in go lang. sql.Open("sqlite3", "file:testDB.db?_crypto_key=KEY123")
But it is not encrypting the DB
Any help will be much appreciated
Thanks

I have a fundamental question. I would be thankful if anybody gives me an answer.
I have a SQL database and i want to use ConvenantSQL to make it secure.
I want to know that is it possible to have a private instance of ConvenantSQL or not. And if the answer is yes what would happen to gas and tokens that I should pay?!

Good day all, what's the status of this project? Things are looking awful quiet on the github repository.
Null Void
@datatypevoid
Is there a reason for the lack of disinterest? Just developer disinterest? Something more? I would be interested in contributing to the ecosystem to get things rolling if possible, but I need to study up on the code bases a bit more.

@datatypevoid
Does the sql engine support the ON CONFLICT clause?
Seems to throw an error.

Is there anyone from the development team available at some point to maybe talk about what needs to be done to keep things rolling slash get them back rolling? As well as potential technical questions of the nature of the codebase?
