@WickedBrat I commented all of my commits and tried to run it. The bad error request is still persisting and i am sure there's some issue with the backend.
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@sanyamdogra I'm looking into the issue
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@sanyamdogra I've fixed the issue, I'd suggest you updating our branch with upstream and trying again
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
Also IMO, You can simply add routerLink to the checkpoint names, rather than navigating to a URL. You can also change the update method of active tabs
Sanyam Dogra
@sanyamdogra
@WickedBrat but whar if we want to increase checkpoint list someday? I was thinking of a generalized approa
Approach*
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@sanyamdogra this would be a generalized approach too. You'd add routerLink="['/view/project/, project.id + '-' + project.project_name, checkpoint.checkpoint_name] this would dynamically allocate URLs to the list
Sanyam Dogra
@sanyamdogra
@WickedBrat
Oh okay by passing it as params
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
Yes
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@sanyamdogra @prijeshb please add your comments on the doc issues assigned to you.
Sanyam Dogra
@sanyamdogra
@WickedBrat should we start working on them?
You mentioned some kind of meeting.
Prijesh
@prijeshb
@WickedBrat yes was waiting for the same
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@prijeshb @sanyamdogra Yes you may start working on the issues by adding more contents that needs to be there in the guides.
We could schedule a meeting if you guys feel necessary. Just let me know if we're required to meet
Also @/all I've created a new room for you guys to discuss your ideas and views for the GSoC project. You guys may visit new room here
Sanyam Dogra
@sanyamdogra
@WickedBrat Should i create a new Pull_request_template.md or should place the template in contribute.md ?
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
I think adding steps in contribute.md would be a better choice
Sanyam Dogra
@sanyamdogra
Okay @WickedBrat 👍🏻

@WickedBrat For the confirmation dialog to "delete an idea", I did not find any reusable component in the code. So far, the openDialog just shows the data with no inputs from the user. Should I go ahead and create a confirmation component (html and ts) which can be used for all delete operations? Where should this component be placed? Thanks.
Sunitha Kandalam
@neozenweb
Alternate way is to add a simple window.confirm before delete :)
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
I think the best would be to create a generalized component in SharedModule that takes the argument for type of activity (idea or project) and respective ID. You can then use it to call the delete function.
Sunitha Kandalam
@neozenweb
ok, will start on the generalized component.
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@neozenweb How's the generalized component PR going?
Sunitha Kandalam
@neozenweb
Workingon it. Should be done by weekend.
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
@neozenweb Let us know if you need any help :)
Sunitha Kandalam
@neozenweb
Thanks @WickedBrat
I have created the component, but an empty dialog like a column at the screen end shows up. Whereas the view dialog shows in the source code, this new one is not showing in the source code. Any pointers would be helpful.
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
Probably, you've made some errors while creating the component. Please share the screenshot of the error in the console
Sunitha Kandalam
@neozenweb
Fixed the code, it is ready for PR. It was because of the new component declaration missing in the user.module.ts

Hi everyone, apologies for previous messages getting sent incomplete

@accakks

I'm Aakanksha, from Jaipur India. I am interested to contribute to Cynthesize.
I visited here from RGSoC orgs page and turns out org is also participating in GSoC.

I saw the projects ideas there I'd be interested to submit a proposal for Project Improvements in CodeBase and developer experience

I have experience with Hasura's GraphQL engine as well, apart from experience with Python and JavaScript.
I haven't really worked with Angular before, but I guess I can learn that.

I'd try to draft a proposal and make atleast one PR before GSoC Deadline. It might be late, But post that too, I'd love to keep contributing throughout April and May irrespective of that. I'd mostly be interested to contribute to Back-end.

I'm not sure how selections for RGSoC would be made and if projects are announced there , but I guess than can be throught of later.

I have explored project ideas from this page, https://github.com/Cynthesize/cynthesize-frontend/wiki/Google-Summer-of-Code-2019 , let me know if there's any other page that's more recent.

I'll start with installation and first issue. If anyone in community have any specific suggestion, I'd be happy to work on that.

Hi @accakks, great to have you on board with us. When you're done setting up the project, do let us know, we're in a middle of launch and would love to get your contributions on it
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
We're implementing UI mocks and need contributions there, so in order to make meaningful contributions, it's better to put your efforts in constructive place

Hello, I, Megha and my teammate, Jhalak of team ShowThem found this project on RGSoC and we are really interested to work on this. We are not sure about for RGSoC process of selection. As mentioned above, this is also in GSoC, so could you tell us how should we proceed. We are familiar with JS, CSS, HTML, Python and Angular but not with GraphQL.
Siddhant Srivastav
@WickedBrat
Hi @megha6167 and Jhalak, welcome to Cynthesize. In order to get started, you should first clone the repo and set it up. Once you've done that, I'd recommend you going to the wiki page on the repo to get familiar with how we use Hasura and it's GraphQL engine. On a personal note, using GraphQL is very easy.
After you're done, go on finding the issues in the repo or just let me know, I'll add you the group where we're implementing the UI mocks.
