Hi! If you have any questions or comments - feel free!

Just installed the update and the build file inside the carthrage folder is empty.
Sauls-MacBook-Pro:testing_Please Saul$ carthage update

i reinstalled like 3 times, and made sure i typed everything well. All the folders are loading right as well.

@Danappelxx
Thanks! I'll look into it
OK so this seems to be an issue with code signing
I just made some changes to the code signing identities - could you test it again?
Meanwhile... I'm going to set up Travis/Circle CI for tests :D
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Alright I set up Travis and it had the same error you had with code signing - looking into it again
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
OK Travis is doing something strange with Carthage - I'm not sure why its happening but it definitely doesn't have to do with code signing. I'd appreciate if you would try updating SwiftMongoDB again as I don't have an external machine to test with.

@Saulc009
sorry took long to reply, i just reinstalled and the mongoDB framework is not in the IOS folder thats in the build folder. The only framework thats in there is the SwiftyJSON framework. I also tried to drag the mondoDB framework thats in the Mac folder inside the build folder into Xcode but it gives me an error and i can't import SwiftMongo into swift.
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
hm... do you have the "master" after the github "Danappelxx/SwiftMongoDB"? That's key
Also -- what server were you connecting to in your code? Keep in mind you can't connect to localhost since you're not on your computer anymore :P
Saul C.
@Saulc009
ya i had the master on there... and your right about the localhost. As i said when i first emailed you I'm a beginner in programming still. Its a little embarrassing i guess, i should have known about the localhost i guess it passed my mind it only works on computer. So now how do you recommend i access it from a device? I have no idea, or is there another host for a device? I would appreciate the help. Thanks again and sorry for wasting your time, at least now i know.
Saul C.
@Saulc009
Oh and for the installation part it, it still isn't installing correctly yet. I can't find the swiftMongo framework in the IOS build folder. And yes i installed it with and without "master" on it.
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Haha don't worry about it - I actually did the same thing as you did and then realized it was localhost, so don't feel too bad.
If you're on the same wifi network, you can connect to your computer's ip directly. On a mac this means running ifconfig and looking for something that resembles inet 192.168.1.111 netmask 0xffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255. In that case, the ip I would use is 192.168.1.111, which is my laptop's local ip.
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Also.. the thing with carthage not installing frameworks is so strange
Why it's not working is beyond me
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Ok I'm going to try a workaround
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Alright, basically now I'm just using Carthage to fetch the Xcode projects and adding them to SwiftMongoDB.xcodeproj by myself
hopefully this should fix the bug where it skips building those other frameworks
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
ok this is a huge number of commits - I'm going to do something nobody ever should and squash them together after pushing them to github :P
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Alrighty hopefully now it will work
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Regarding your issue specifically @Saulc009, do you have an apple developer account? I think it may be necessary to go through the code-signing phase
if you don't have one - let me know, there are ways to circumvent it (which are a pain in the ass)
Juan SOLO
@juansoilan
Hi Dan, same problem with "architecture" branch. I tried to do the same in two different computers but I get the same error. Could be a xcode configuration? Do you have that simulator installed in your machine (4F161478-B33A-4C02-BAFD-5E7B284D5FD9)?
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Damn.
I'm not at a computer right now, but have you tried building from source?
Run git clone --recursive http://github.com/danappelxx/SwiftMongoDB.got and open the Xcode project
Then select the SwiftMongoDB target and try building it
Juan SOLO
@juansoilan
It works, I think it must be a Carthage problem.
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Well, that's good I guess
You could do Carthage bootstrap --no-build and just add the xcodeproject meanwhile
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
I'll file an issue with Carthage
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Actually, it's probably a good idea to push a zipped release
That way you don't have to do any messy stuff with carthage
Juan SOLO
@juansoilan
I think it's a good idea

Hi! I’m really looking forward to official Linux Support with Package Manager. Your work is truly amazing, but Linux support will actually make a huge step for server-side Swift.
Dan Appel
@Danappelxx
Yeah! I'm on the team behind Zewo so in definitely excited about server-side swift
I was working on SPM (you're not the first to request it :smile: ) but there are a few things getting in the way
( @dreymonde )
Oleg Dreyman
@dreymonde
Yeah, I saw you in Zewo Slack) That’s super nice to know that SwiftMongoDB will work smoothly with Zewo. Hope you’ll get rid of things in your way soon)
