CoinGame
@CoinGame
it works fine in local testing so its a bit of a head scratcher
Ben Rossi
@brossi
@Cybnate - we identified the "proposal with assets" creation problem and have fixed it locally. Running a few tests to confirm that we didn't miss the obvious cases. Assuming it passes we'll deploy a patch this afternoon.
CoinGame
@CoinGame
and if you give me the content hash and the asset you wanted to apply I can do it manually for you
Ben Rossi
@brossi
@/all - v1.2.5 has been released to address the proposal creation issue (Release Notes). As always, thank you all for your feedback!
Desrever
@desrever-nu
hi guys! how is Daology doing? anything I should be looking at with shining fresh eyes?
CoinGame
@CoinGame
We have been mostly fixing bugs and cleaning up the UI. So other than normal use I don't know if there's too much to look into
But daology is doing well I think :)
Couple more signs ups and content posted
Cybnate
@Cybnate
@CoinGame no need, created a proposal without asset ad interim. Thanks for fixing it.
CoinGame
@CoinGame
okay

@brossi
@/all - A patch release, v1.2.6, has been deployed (Release Notes).

@/all - We're proud to announce the release of Daology v1.3.0, and the introduction of a new feature, "Responses". Check out the details in the release notes and we'll be here to discuss the release if you have any questions. Thank you for using Daology! :)

Great work! Some of the links have broken in my proposal. Not sure when. Example: <https: letsencrypt.org="" 2015="" 08="" 07="" updated-lets-encrypt-launch-schedule.html="">
CoinGame
@CoinGame
hmmm
that is probably a result of our security update. we took a heavy hand to sanitizing content
Esko
@jooize
Ahkay. I'll just update them then?
CoinGame
@CoinGame
give us a chance to look through the content and see how much it's been impacted
Esko
@jooize
No hurry, I can do it tomorrow. Got it!
CoinGame
@CoinGame
We know that it has affected some other things, like block quotes, which we need to iron out
cool, thanks
Esko
@jooize
I'll leave it until I talk with you again.

@brossi
I've identified where the problem is, but it's going to require a bit of refactoring to correctly handle some of the Markdown -> HTML rendering scenarios while continuing to properly minimize the possible cross-site scripting vectors. Definitely something that we'll be able to fix in the near future, but something that I want to make sure we're addressing correctly.
Ben Rossi
@brossi
For those URLs in particular, the work around is to display them in the "proper" markdown syntax for links instead of wrapping them in bare < and >
Instead of <https://letsencrypt.org/2015/08/07/updated-lets-encrypt-launch-schedule.html>, use:
[https://letsencrypt.org/2015/08/07/updated-lets-encrypt-launch-schedule.html](https://letsencrypt.org/2015/08/07/updated-lets-encrypt-launch-schedule.html)
negative being that it will change your proposal content hash, which isn't optimum. However, considering that this is for Peercoin, and there's no voting system in place that would be dependent on a stable hash, it should have a minimal functional impact.
I don't like suggesting work-arounds, because this is our issue, not yours, but I also want to make sure you're able to present your content in the best possible way right now
Esko
@jooize
Okay, yeah. For this proposal it's fine, the hash doesn't matter. Thanks! :smile_cat: @CoinGame Do I edit at will?
CoinGame
@CoinGame
well i think we know what will break now so you can go ahead and edit
Esko
@jooize
Oki.
Nagalim
@Nagalim
hey, how do I do a '*' sign in daology? It always thinks that I'm doing italics or whatever. Is there a way to make it interpret literally?
Nagalim
@Nagalim
also, how do I do a new line without doing a double space? Is such a thing possible?
CoinGame
@CoinGame
I think escaping works
*
\*
doing a double space at the end to ent enter a new line is standard markdown syntax
daology v2 will be more format agnostic so if you prefer not to use markdown it will be an option
but as of right now markdown is the default and only display format so you need to use their syntax to alter the display

Interesting concepts worth exploring for you guys

CoinGame
@CoinGame
thanks @desrever-nu that's really interesting stuff
We're in the process of laying out the daology rebuild so this is good info for us.
