    @jeremydmiller
    @schatekar Dunno, so far we’ve never ran Katana for anything but testing and embedded diagnostics. What do you envision?
    Suhas Chatekar
    @schatekar
    @jeremydmiller I envision a need to optionally specify ip address as well
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    @CoreyKaylor @jmarnold et al, what do you think about killing off the conditional/profile view feature? DarthFubuMVC/fubumvc#907
    Corey Kaylor
    @CoreyKaylor
    Hasn’t been used by us, so I would vote for getting rid of it.
    Andres Hernandez
    @andhernand
    The use of responsive design makes the conditional/profile view less usefull.
    Corey Kaylor
    @CoreyKaylor
    It potentially has value for client specific profiles, but even then it’s a possibility that we’ve never needed to employ in practice.
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    @andhernand We built it specifically for cases where we thought that responsive design was going to be too hard or you were just going for such a very different layout and interaction. Either way, nobody’s used it since that company folded, so I’m hearing “kill it with impunity"
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    I think I’m calling 3.0 “done for now”, at least until any bugs pop up when this gets put into a real app. There’s plenty more things that could be done, but I’m holding off on any other work until I can start Jasper for real. You can see the log of what was done here: https://github.com/DarthFubuMVC/fubumvc/issues?q=is%3Aissue+milestone%3A3.0+is%3Aclosed
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    You going to push 3.0 to the public nuget feed?
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    I guess there’s no reason why I couldn’t. Wasn’t sure anyone outside of Extend Health would care;)
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    Yeah, doesn't look like we need any of the new bits but I'd bump us if there was a new version.
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    For all the folks who occasionally check in here, I was finally able to start on some experimentation to use postgresql as a full replacement for RavenDb and NEventStore: https://gitter.im/JasperFx/Marten?utm_source=share-link&utm_medium=link&utm_campaign=share-link
    “Marten” because they’re one of the very few natural predators of ravens
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    haha, clever

    Just take care that the icon doesn’t look like this: http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/4134VJY77WL.jpg

    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    In that case Tellurium may be cleverer as they are both group 16 elements.
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    @joemcbride I have a surprising number of older friends who were FoxPro guys who love to go on and on about how it was the best thing ever and what a crying shame everything after was
    Selenium is the cure for Mercury poisoning
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    Ok, that is really clever!
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    I was at ThoughtWorks about the time they wrote the very original Selenium just to test their homegrown replacement for the horrendous Lotus Notes based T&E system they had. Don’t think that system ever went anywhere, but the testing tool did;)
    Joe McBride
    @joemcbride
    @jeremydmiller I never used it myself though have heard the same rants. I used something kind of similar, I think, Oracle Forms 4.5 with Pascal.
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    “Oracle Forms 4.5 with Pascal.” — OMG, that stuff is from before my time. I’ve never heard a nice word about Oracle Forms.
    Joe McBride
    @joemcbride
    lol - I used that at an internship at the local School District when I was in High School.
    I really didn’t know how to program yet so it was all new to me.
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    @mikeobrien We’re publishing alpha nugets for 3.0 directly to nuget.org now. See https://www.nuget.org/packages/FubuMVC.Core/3.0.0.2139-alpha
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    awesome!
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    We’re in the middle of converting a couple codebases at work to 3, so surely expect a little more churn as we stumble into things.
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    np. I'll probably update this afternoon.
    I'll let you know if I run into any issues
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    Hold off one minute, I’m sorting through a paket/nuget problem w/ FubuMVC.Core to StructureMap and re-publishing
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    k
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    @mikeobrien and @/all , try 3.0.0.2140-alpha of FubuMVC.Core, except note that it’s going to require you to move up to StructureMap 4 as well. SM4 is staying in alpha for the time being until the dust settles on ASP.net vNext compliance I think.
    Mike O'Brien
    @mikeobrien
    sounds good, thx for publishing that

    @toftware
    Am i the only one seeing October 16th in this channel?
    Swear to god i just got a highlight from here
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    Oct. 16th was the last thing here. It’s not a busy room:)
    Kasper Toft Andersen
    @toftware
    Well i got a notification popup here from chrome, strange
    Ron Lloyd
    @rlloyd2001
    Starting to look into moving to FubuMVC 3. Should we go with HtmlTags 3.0.0.186 or HtmlTags 4.0.0-beta1?
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    What does the fubumvc.core unspecified say? Should be locked back to 2.1
    dammit, the nuspec is wrong. Gimme a bit @rlloyd2001 and I’ll fix that and re-publish. Do NOT use HtmlTags 3 or 4.
    Ron Lloyd
    @rlloyd2001
    @jeremydmiller What is the difference between FubuMVC.RavenDb45 vs. FubuMVC.RavenDb. Can we remove FubuMVC.RavenDb45 going to FubuMVC 3?
    Ron Lloyd
    @rlloyd2001
    Nevermind, 45 has to refer to .net 4.5.
    Andreas Ljung
    @andreasljung
    Odd question: Do I need to have the line "Import<RazorEngineRegistry>();" in my "ConfigureFubuMVC.cs" file? I have taken over a project developed by someone else and was working on increasing the performance. When removed that line the page load went from 5s to under 1s and the @-tags are still working as expected, which seems strange if the razor engine is not used anymore?
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    Gotta tell me the version first. In very, very early versions yes. Anything from >1, no, just the presence of the FubuMVC.Razor bottle
    Andreas Ljung
    @andreasljung
    Thank you for your quick reply! FubuCore is version 0.9.9.0 and FubuMVC.Core is 0.9.5.0
    Jeremy D. Miller
    @jeremydmiller
    Wow, okay, that’s really old (late 2012?). My honest answer is “I don’t remember”.
    Andreas Ljung
    @andreasljung
    ok, thanks anyway :)
    I will look into upgradring then
