I was looking at that, but they seemed to be tools to manage software licenses a company owns, not to issue licenses on software it's selling

there's a lot of asset management software out there mislabeled as license management software .. makes it hard to search for the right stuff

@WesHildebrandt and @DesPetrie: It appears that we need more requirements for the licensing software that we want to use, such as: Do we want a server to manage licenses or would simple product keys be sufficient? Do we want to allow trial periods? Do we want to favor open-source libraries or paid libraries (with paid libraries seemingly more secure and having better support)? Will our licenses be buy once or recurring (e.g., a license that is good for only a year)? Thank you.
