im not getting the admin page in website
can anyone help me
im getting server error please contact administrator
Raphael Das Gupta
for the locally running webserver or for the page hosted on PythonAnywhere?
Raphael Das Gupta
If the error is for your blog hosted on PythonAnywhere, see https://help.pythonanywhere.com/pages/#im-looking-at-an-error-message-in-my-web-app for how to get to the log that may contain a useful error message.
If it's for the locally running webserver, have a look at the command line window where the webserver process is running. The error message should be in its terminal output.
doing djangogirls tutorial. i managed to deploy on pythonanywhere.com but I am now stuck with django urls topic. my console looks nothing like the tutorial says it should look ("It's telling you that there is no attribute 'post_list'")
so frustrated! can't help thinking i'm to stupid to get it
-bash: django-admin: command not found
djangogirls tutorial not working?
Djangogirls tutorial says: "If you see a different error message, try restarting your web server. To do that, in the console window that is running the web server, stop it by pressing Ctrl+C (the Control and C keys together). On Windows, you might have to press Ctrl+Break. Then you need to restart the web server by running a python manage.py runserver command" Ctrl+C or Ctrl+Break don't give anything. I found in the pythonanywhere bash console that Crtl+D means exit. Ctrl+D exits the console, I open a new bash console and run python manage.py runserver and get "python: can't open file 'manage.py': [Errno 2] No such file or directory"

When uploading to Python Anywhere the website doesn't upload. The latest version has been pushed to Github and pulled to PythonAnywhere but it isn't properly running. I think it might be an issue with updating the static files.

I'm on this step: https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/en/extend_your_application/#updating-the-static-files-on-the-server

suresh tumu
Hello, Good Morning

when updating a pullup on pythonanywhere when entering the git pull command it writes an error
error: Your local changes to the following files would be overwritten by merge: db.sqlite3
Please, commit your changes or stash them before you can merge

How to fix it?

Hi, can anybody help me?=) I've started tutorial, and got one problem on pythonanywhere site. At first i made command pip3.6 install --user pythonanywhere in the bash console, and everything was good, but next, when i made pa_autoconfigure_django.py https://github.com/<your-github-username>/my-first-blog.git with my nickname i 've got bash: pa_autoconfigure_django.py: command not found, how can solve this problem. Thanks in advance! :)
I've fixed one interesting detail, sometimes i can delete my current bash console and create the new console, and it can have an appear like "19:23:~$" , in this case the command pa_autoconfigure_django.py https://github.com/<your-github-username>/my-first-blog.git is executed successfully, I'm not sure, that understand why is it...
can anyone share me a useful link to host a django application in production on aws ec2 instance (ubuntu)
when i input that command: python manage.py migrate

I get an error: Traceback (most recent call last):
File "manage.py", line 10, in main
from django.core.management import execute_from_command_line
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'django'

The above exception was the direct cause of the following exception:

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "manage.py", line 21, in <module>
File "manage.py", line 12, in main
raise ImportError(
ImportError: Couldn't import Django. Are you sure it's installed and available on your PYTHONPATH environment variable? Did you forget to activate a virtual environment?

Suyoj Man Tamrakar
@Bezmozllbly I guess you are not inside the virtual environment so you are getting that error.Try getting inside the virtual environment and then enter the command.Hope that shall work :)

Hey guys, some partners and I are building an open-source API Gateway in Django with a lot of features and I want to ask you for feedback. Our idea is to help developers to speed up the process of application creation, including their API. We would like to also encourage people to use "micro" services and industry standards, so they can connect services that are built in different languages and use them seamlessly. Keep in mind that this project is still in progress and it's not in version 1.0 yet but it will be ;). I'd love to get some feedback from you all, so you can use the link below, email me directly jeferson@buildly.io or the team team@buildly.io
Thank you and have fun :D
Sorry for the long message
Stephen Peters
Is there an actual repo for the code for the project?

Hello! Within the tutorial I've reached the admin section. The webpage says that the site cannot be reached though. Why is this?
Jeferson Moura
Hey @kthrynburton_gitlab what do you mean with the site cannot be reached? Maybe, you can share some screenshot, traceback. Could you also tell me which tutorial you used?
We have a channel on Gitter for the project community, maybe it's better to talk there, so we don't bother the other ones here.
Kathryn Burton
I've been using this tutorial: https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/en/django_admin/
Jeferson Moura
Sorry @kthrynburton_gitlab but I was confused. I thought you were talking about the application I had shared before. Regarding your tutorial, it seems like your using a different port but I'm not sure.
