Hey guys, some partners and I are building an open-source API Gateway in Django with a lot of features and I want to ask you for feedback. Our idea is to help developers to speed up the process of application creation, including their API. We would like to also encourage people to use "micro" services and industry standards, so they can connect services that are built in different languages and use them seamlessly. Keep in mind that this project is still in progress and it's not in version 1.0 yet but it will be ;). I'd love to get some feedback from you all, so you can use the link below, email me directly jeferson@buildly.io or the team team@buildly.io
Thank you and have fun :D

Hello! Within the tutorial I've reached the admin section. The webpage says that the site cannot be reached though. Why is this?
Jeferson Moura
@jefmoura
Hey @kthrynburton_gitlab what do you mean with the site cannot be reached? Maybe, you can share some screenshot, traceback. Could you also tell me which tutorial you used?
We have a channel on Gitter for the project community, maybe it's better to talk there, so we don't bother the other ones here.

@jefmoura
Sorry @kthrynburton_gitlab but I was confused. I thought you were talking about the application I had shared before. Regarding your tutorial, it seems like your using a different port but I'm not sure.

Hi, I'm running through the tutorial and trying to deploy the server. But I'm getting this error when I try to run it: "Error: [errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed"
dtomlinson91
@dtomlinson91
@Nollonpollon did you fill in ALLOWED_HOSTS in your mysite/settings.py file? Or is it an empty list?
Nollonpollon
@Nollonpollon
@dtomlinson91 Hi, I tried both filling it out and keeping it empty 🙂
dtomlinson91
@dtomlinson91

Do you know if you are behind a proxy? This error is raised from the socket package: https://docs.python.org/3.5/library/socket.html#socket.getaddrinfo and could be for many reasons, I've seen it if it cannot resolve a hostname when I'm behind a proxy server.

Are you trying to start the webserver locally, or are you trying to host on pythonanywhere?

Nollonpollon
@Nollonpollon
Makes sense, but i'm not behind a proxy. I'm just trying to host it locally for now
dtomlinson91
@dtomlinson91
Hmm, is it failing when you do a python manage.py runserver? Can you try the command python manage.py runserver 0.0.0.0:8000
Or if you’re on Windows try 0:8000 instead
Nollonpollon
@Nollonpollon
Yea, so when i do "python manage.py runserver 0:8000" then it gives me that error. When i do it without 0:8000 it gives me the UnicodeDecodeError
