Hi Guys, I am also new with Django. After installing Python 3.8 on my windows 10, I tried to open Python using the command line (cmd) by typing in Python 3.8 . Unfortunately it doesn't open. What am I doing wrong?

Problem solved again
A new real issue: https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/en/html/ on this page it is said that I have to create a file (post_list.html)
Before that you have to make 2 directories (templates and blog). I did that with 'mkdir templates' and 'mkdir blog'
But I tried to make a post_list.html file through VIsual studio code
and tried to run the program throug command line and I still don't get the desired result
On this page, you can see what it has to be : https://tutorial.djangogirls.org/en/html/
Someone could please help me?!?

@hardingn So in the end I reran the steps in the Deploy tutorial to auto configure pythonanywher, but I used the nuke option discussed here https://www.pythonanywhere.com/forums/topic/12683/ to overwrite what I already had uploaded.

Hi, I have completed the tutorial on how to build a mini website (blog), but now I want to add pictures on my blog. Does anyone know how to do it? I have googled it a lot, but I feel like a lot of explanations skip the part where you actually link a photo that is saved in a folder in the project to your website (if somebody knows what I mean). Any help please????

@Aaa25698420_twitter now that you have mastered the djangogirls blog site you should check out corey schafers django turorial on youtube. It is a little more in depth on how to do things and has a specific video on photos and such.

Guys, Do you know what I have to add to the following file to drop the position of the picture: kleding.jpg? This is how far I got with showing the picture (unfortunately I only know how to display it as a background image)
body{
background-image: url(kleding.jpg) ;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
Right now my picture gets located on the top left corner
I want to place it down with 20px or 20cm
Anyone help???

Hi to all from Uzbekistan (central asia)

iam using djangogirls tutrials to leran basics django.

Now i have problem with pythonanywhere :(

Error is " from django.urls import path
ImportError: cannot import name 'path'"

zokirhal
@zokirhal
I think the problem is in the python version. Version 2.7 in Pythonanywhere is installed as standard

It turns out there is already version 3.6. We had to choose before writing queries ..

I changed to version 3.6 but everything is exactly as if I get this problem ..

weird

@Aaa25698420_twitter Hi, I asked to support of pythonanywhere then got answer. That is looks like have not moved your database to PythonAnywhere
or you're not accessing the database that you thought where.
instead that is reading an empty one. ....But I am still not figure out ..

where can I find my web app link?
I have deployed on github and pythonanywhere bash terminal too, but can't find the link to my live website
please help me out
Arkahm
@Arkahm
@Aaa25698420_twitter your pythonanywhere db is seperate from your local db. I thought that was explained in the deploy section. You will have a blank blog initially on pythonanywhere
@Aaa25698420_twitter Sorry last post was for @mk1237
