Hi, I have completed the tutorial on how to build a mini website (blog), but now I want to add pictures on my blog. Does anyone know how to do it? I have googled it a lot, but I feel like a lot of explanations skip the part where you actually link a photo that is saved in a folder in the project to your website (if somebody knows what I mean). Any help please????

@Aaa25698420_twitter now that you have mastered the djangogirls blog site you should check out corey schafers django turorial on youtube. It is a little more in depth on how to do things and has a specific video on photos and such.

Guys, Do you know what I have to add to the following file to drop the position of the picture: kleding.jpg? This is how far I got with showing the picture (unfortunately I only know how to display it as a background image)
body{
background-image: url(kleding.jpg) ;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
}
Right now my picture gets located on the top left corner
I want to place it down with 20px or 20cm
Anyone help???

Hi to all from Uzbekistan (central asia)

iam using djangogirls tutrials to leran basics django.

Now i have problem with pythonanywhere :(

Error is " from django.urls import path
ImportError: cannot import name 'path'"

zokirhal
@zokirhal
I think the problem is in the python version. Version 2.7 in Pythonanywhere is installed as standard

It turns out there is already version 3.6. We had to choose before writing queries ..

I changed to version 3.6 but everything is exactly as if I get this problem ..

weird

where can I find my web app link?
I have deployed on github and pythonanywhere bash terminal too, but can't find the link to my live website
please help me out
Arkahm
@Arkahm
@Aaa25698420_twitter your pythonanywhere db is seperate from your local db. I thought that was explained in the deploy section. You will have a blank blog initially on pythonanywhere
@Aaa25698420_twitter Sorry last post was for @mk1237
Arkahm
@Arkahm
@mk1237 remember your .gitignore does not save db to github
zokirhal
@zokirhal

hello , in module Django views – time to create! .... I am not getting error TemplateDoesNotExist and even after that if I update my directory by adding html file and edit it then the the link http://127.0.0.1:8000/ is not showing the html code...... instead its showing the same page which I got to see when I connected with server
Ankitkumar Santosh Singh
@3009aksingh

from django.urls import path
from . import views

urlpatterns = [
path('', views.post_list, name='post_list'),
]
when we edit the file urls.py in blog directory, then in urlpatterns = what should be path?... I have kept it empty. Please help me.

vinayak
@itsvinayak
@3009aksingh if it is your home page, this will work if not use any str pattern or if you want to use regex use "re_path" in place of "path"
@3009aksingh for template error, look in views.py file
@3009aksingh check this project out for help https://github.com/itsvinayak/todo
