Which version of Materialize are we currently in?

Hello, I've been having some trouble with spacing after divs with the row class. They end up looking like this:
Could anyone help me with what I need to do so that this doesn't happen but still preserve effects like z-depth-2? I can get rid of the spacing but it also gets rid of the z-depth effects.

It's hard to visualize what you're saying. Could you make a codepen?

Hey there =) https://materializecss.com/select.html I would like to use multiselect’s css because it looks better than the normal select menu. So I want to use the property: isMultiple false. (Use multiple select css but turn the multiselect off)
mulgey
@mulgey
I don’t know how to use this property, couldn’t find any example. Can you help please

@tuffant21
Ah, that's a simple fix. I have to do this with my website all the time
@QuantumTunnel
Set the margin-bottom to 0. I've created a class that looks like this:
.mb0 { margin-bottom: 0; }
Additionally, you could do something like:
.row:last-child { margin-bottom: 0; }

@QuantumTunnel

mulgey
@mulgey

I don’t know how to use this property, couldn’t find any example. Can you help please

Anyone help me to show how may I use the "Properties" in Select form? " https://materializecss.com/select.html " I want to set isMultiple boolean value to false, please. I need an example to see how may I use the properties listed

Regards
Anthony House
@tuffant21
@matheuspec6 I think you can just set the property to disabled
@mulgey you could try something like this:
M.FormSelect.init(elems, {isMultiple: false});
mulgey
@mulgey

sorry, did not work

M.FormSelect.init(elems, {isMultiple: false});

Hey guys, I have a problem with materialize. When I try to use sidenav as it is said in official guide, I'm getting an error saying "TypeError: jqueryWEBPACK_IMPORTED_MODULE3default(...)(...).sidenav is not a function". Tried googling it, every possible solution on SO/Github/reddit not working for me(older version of materialize/jquery etc.).
Can someone help me?
Anthony House
@tuffant21
@annaighoinart Might be able to help, but we'll need a lot of info to solve it. Can you give us everything to try to reproduce it?
@mulgey I will check that out soon
annaighoinart
@annaighoinart
@tuffant21 Yeah, thanks, but I already figured it out. Just followed this guide, maybe it will help someone: https://medium.com/@hamza.el/react-materialize-sidenav-in-4-steps-7365f6176b09
Also links in sidebar were unclickable, so I did this .navbar-fixed { z-index: 999; }

Nice, wtg

@tuffant21
@mulgey The problem you're having is actually in your html on line 21
You have <select multiple>. You should change that to <select>

Hey all, I want multiple responsive cards l4 m6 and s12. Everything is okay on small and large screen but in medium screen there seems to be some gap in between which I don't want. Can you guys help me on this?? Link to the code is here : https://codepen.io/haha1234/pen/dyowXmv?editors=1010
Anthony House
@tuffant21

Are you referring to that gap?
mulgey
@mulgey

You have <select multiple>. You should change that to <select>

I want to use multiple's CSS (it's cool) but disable multiple selection. That was why i was trying to turn it off with "isMultiple boolean" It's easy to remove multiple but that's not I'm aiming for

Anthony House
@tuffant21
I don't understand. Like you want to keep the checkbox's to the left of the items, but not allow them to select multiple?
rabeent
@rabeent
Yeah @tuffant21 that's the gap I'm referring to which I don't want. I want many cards for blogs. depending upon content in cards, sapce occured in many places. And of course it doesn't look nice in tablet view. If anybody can help with that it would be awesome.
Anthony House
@tuffant21
That one is kind of tricky because Materialize doesn't handle it very well at all
What you have to do is make rows for each row
Then only fill it with the content
What you are looking to achieve might be better suited with flexbox
rabeent
@rabeent
@tuffant21 yeah mate, but I want 2 cards in tablet view and 3 in large screen. So making each row will also have gap. It would be awesome if there is easier way!
Anthony House
@tuffant21
If you only want two cards in tablet, you could use an offset
Let me show you an example quick
Come to think of it, the only way I can think of achieving this is if you set all of the cards to the same height
Anthony House
@tuffant21
Here, check this out @rabeent
mulgey
@mulgey

@tuffant21 exactly. It has a cool CSS. I search a way to turn its multiple selection engine off

I don't understand. Like you want to keep the checkbox's to the left of the items, but not allow them to select multiple?

In properties, there is "isMultiple -- Boolean -- If this is a multiple select." Tried to see if that works couldn't prove technically with a proper code
Sean Doherty
@doughballs
@tuffant21 great solution, I have forked so I can use in my own projects :)
You could refactor without using ES6 so that it is IE compatible...
Another solution that allows for varying card heights is to use masonry.js
The startup theme from Materialize uses it. But this doesn't give you the clean horizontal lines of a traditional grid, so it depends on the aesthetic required.
