Could someone have a quick look at DotNetAnalyzers/StyleCopAnalyzers#1705 please?

@bexxx I've been out for a week so I was only able to review items which were easy to review on my phone. I believe we're still playing catch-up

@/all Is anyone using StyleCop Analyzers Beta 9 or newer on a large solution?

I'm using the latest on all my solutions (IIRC it's beta14?). The largest one is around 15 projects, I think.

If so, have you observed problems where Visual Studio "hangs" for a period of time after editing files? For example, on a solution with 1000+ files I observed hangs for up to 20 seconds with Beta 14

No. But I see that dialog after I close VS most of the time. I think it's a known bug with telemetry (that's fixed in U1)

@AArnott Do you have any of the following rules enabled: SA1305, SA1600, SA1601, SA1602, SA1649?

Yes, all are enabled (except SA1305, which is at its default of disabled, for some reason)

Interesting
I assume you have a stylecop.json file?
The solution where I have observed the most problems has 3080 C# files.

That's larger than the solutions I'm working with nowadays. Yes, I have a stylecop.json file for most of these repos, but not the largest one, since I don't work on that any more.

Based on discussions last week, the performance problems I observed will likely be resolved by #1742.
Just find it surprising that no one else reported them.
gotta run for now.
