@ifhsieh Date should be a POSIXlt object, which is the standard R format for dates and times. If you look at the oco.download.all.R script, you can see how it is passed. But in general, for this portion, you should just be able to run that script -- it automatically checks the website for new data to be downloaded (through the present day) and downloads it if it's available. Observations aren't available quite in real time -- the latest data are through February 10 -- but it's still worth running the script every day through the CRON job.
