    and this rocket on down left disappeared

    melomane63
    @melomane63
    @AkumaKitty :
    keeping the ctrl button pressed, right click on the dock, choose parameters / docklets / and add the launcher
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    @AkumaKitty yup, either that or you can go into desktop settings / dock and add the applications docklet back in from there

    @melomane63
    in appmenu, desktop setting not work.
    create as root /usr/share/applications/xfce-backdrop-settings.desktop and paste:
    [Desktop Entry]
    Exec=desktop-settings
    Type=Application

    Hi, I was trying to roll my own Enso today when I discovered it's existence! Enso DOES have dynamic desktops, doesn't it?
    I'm going to load it into a VM as soon as it downloads.

    Hello! I would like to know how to drag & drop files through file manager windows
    Nicholas Jacobs
    @njakes_gitlab
    Is there a roadmap for the 20.04 release?
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    There's a project which lists all of the work that needs to be completed before the release is finalised, but not really a roadmap as such
    Nicholas Jacobs
    @njakes_gitlab
    Thanks Nick!
    Nicholas Jacobs
    @njakes_gitlab
    Do you have a development image or repo to add?
    Datta
    @BeingDatta
    guys please try not to shutdown the project its awesome work i mean the combination u people used are awesome specially the global menu part. keep it up dude.

    I'm having some trouble creating a bootable USB, I've tried both with Etcher running on Ubunutu and Rufus on Windows (both ISO and DD). Always says it's finished writing successfully and I know the USB stick works as I've put other images on it and they boot fine. When I put Enso on it however it doesn't show up in my list of bootable drives
    Angelo Raimondi

    am i the only one that is sometimes stuck on alt tab switch window?
    Datta
    @BeingDatta
    guys tried enso a while before frankly & honestly speaking its far behind than any robust modern day os. if you guys have enough ram say 8gb then try Feron Os kde its much better
    Feren Os sorry typo
    Manlibear
    @Manlibear
    lol I think you've missed the point. Firstly this is beta so it's somewhat expected it will be "far behind than any robust modern day os" and secondly it's xfce based, so that's not even a good reccomendation. I came across Enso OS whilst looking for a lightweight distro to run on my laptop, so xfce is preferable to KDE
    Datta
    @BeingDatta
    ok i m sorry my bad try linux mint xfce 19.3 and do tell me
    manohars
    @manohars
    Launcher is missing from my os
    Can anyone guide me to restore the launcher
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    @manohars if you just run the cmd 'launchy' in the command prompt does it launch correctly? if you've lost the icon from the dock you can restore it by going into desktop settings, the launcher tab and adding the applications docklet, let me know if any of that doesn't work
    @Manlibear that is odd, I generally just use etcher and it's always let me boot from usb, I'm guessing that you have tried other bootable devices on that machine and it's not something like secure boot being enabled?
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    @BeingDatta this is a medium for discussing Enso and raising any issues that occur when using the OS, there are many many forums out there for Linux systems comparison so please enter into them if you wish to have that conversation
    Datta
    @BeingDatta
    @nick92 ok man got that
    Manlibear
    @Manlibear
    @nick92 Yeah it's most odd indeed, I used that same USB on the same machine shortly afterward to install Xubuntu (and then Ubunutu Budgie) so both USB and laptop can boot in that way
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92

    @BeingDatta if you would like to give us some feedback on what you feel is lacking / missing from Enso that you feel would improve the experience then do let us know about it, always good to get feedback

    @Manlibear that is odd and I'm not sure what to advise to try, Enso is just a custom build of xubuntu so it's really odd that works and Enso doesn't, what version of xubuntu are you using, only thing I can think is that Enso is built against 18.04 whereas you may be using a more later version of Xubuntu??

    guys, how can i setup a vnc server for enso?
    is that possible?
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    Can't see why not, I've never tried it but I would have thought it's possible to do
    Wojciech Gizela

    Hello, I'm interested in installing Enso on my laptop but I have simple question
    Which version of kernel and alsa-lib it has?
    Ahamed07
    @Ahamed07
    is there any way to add hot corner in enso os?
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    @Ahamed07 there isn't currently but may look at adding this in for a future release

    When is the next release coming out ?
    My laptop's HDD died, i'll replace it after a week or two, I was thinking about giving Enso a try, If it's going to release soon I'll just hold of replacing the HDD till then
    f4m4z
    @f4m4z
    I'm booting up a VM to check it out rn

    When Enso OS based on Ubuntu 20.04 will be realised?
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92
    Hoping to get the next release of Enso out in the next few weeks! Haven't had as much time to work on it lately as I thought I would, but shouldn't be too much longer
    Nick Wilkins
    @nick92

    Hi everyone, the next iteration of Enso has been released today 0.4, you can head over to SourceForge to download the release
