Bash ??
jethrogb
@jethrogb
yes, that seems to be the preferred these days
but if you use a different shell I'm happy to translate
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
sorry I do not understand the question - I know what bash is ...
jethrogb
@jethrogb
so I have a shell on a system where exabgp is running
now, what do I do to list the current routes?
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
If you have 3.4 .. there is no easy way
you need 4.0 and the use exabgpcli
jethrogb
@jethrogb
hmm
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
There is a “telnet” server example in the repo for 3.4 .. there is also third party application give web interface .. but nothing built-in

@thomas-mangin
My free time for ExaBGP ATM is … between -0 and +0
which is undefined :-(
sanjmonkey
@sanjmonkey
take that time and divide it by ±0 too

@thomas-mangin
I may be able to spend some time during the xmas break if Heidi let me do so ..
Once I relaxed enough tho ...

Or a chat room

@tmmorin
hi @thomas-mangin ... I'm curious if you plan to pypi-release 4.0.3, if you do that will help a bit on the openstack/networking-bagpipe side... no rush though...

@AxinAllCool
hello, does anyone know if exabgp has an option to set a TTL on route announcements, so that they withdraw automatically when that TTL is reached?
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
no time based announcement but it was requested once in the past
Deep Gajjar
@DeepGajjar92_twitter
is the color extended-community supported in exabgp?
if so, what version?
steiler
@steiler
hi, can someone assist with announcing a BGP-LU route
when announcing like this "neighbor 10.9.9.9 announce route 6.6.6.6/32 next-hop 10.9.9.4 label [ 800120 ]" (a command that previosely worked) via the api I'm getting "issue parsing the route"
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
@steiler please open an issue on github and provide us enough information for us to diagnose the issue. The information here is not enough to help. Were you using 3.4 and updated to 4.0 without realising ?
steiler
@steiler
thats is possible yes
steiler
@steiler
well double checkt... it's already been 4.x back then
steiler
@steiler
is the syntax for the pipe different from the api (letting exabgp execute a script)?
steiler
@steiler
alright ... was printing byte type from python instead of string, which caused the issue..... resolved it
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
great :-)

@iwaseyusuke
Hi all, excuse me for jumping in.
I'm currently working on implementing tests for the "FlowSpec" connectivity of GoBGP and ExaBGP.
But I faced the same problem which reported on Exa-Networks/exabgp#752 .
I have a patch for this issue, may I create a PR on GitHub?
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
Hello @iwaseyusuke - yes - with pleasure. I will merge - and may need to forward port to 4.0 too.
ok - saw the PR and merged it - thank you very much.
I will forward port the patch to 4.0 if it is not handling this case correctly.

@steiler
Had to file an issue, parsing of BGP-LS messages (ISIS + SegmentRouting) from Junos 17.3 seems broken #765
