@thomas-mangin
There is a few issues I need to fix … when that would be for ?
chantra
@chantra
@thomas-mangin I did not get time to look into Exa-Networks/exabgp#723 since, but was able to repro yesterday on top of master.
I will post a new comment with clear step and configs
@tmmorin this might be of interest to you
Thomas Morin
@tmmorin
@thomas-mangin sorry for the delayed answer...
the dependency freeze will be the week of Jan 22-26, roughly in two weeks - a change of deps for a bugfix can still be done afterwards, but will be harder to get in
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
ok - went through all the open issues - I will try to fix the two last one before release but otherwise I will do it way before the freeze.
Thomas Morin
@tmmorin
@thomas-mangin ok, excellent, thanks for this answer! :)
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
@tmmorin will release this week-end
chantra
@chantra
@thomas-mangin you did not find a fix for #723 yet, right?
the traces I have been looking at did not lead me anywhere :s
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
@chantra no - I have done some changes but noone have helped with this one
Thomas Morin
@tmmorin
@thomas-mangin thanks for releasing 4.0.4, I'm upgrading openstack/networking-bagpipe to this one
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
@tmmorin released 4.0.5 with one FlowSpec fix
Sorry :smile:
Thomas Morin
@tmmorin
@thomas-mangin no problem!

@monstaff
hi guys how i may announced attributes with community ? Like a "announce attributes next-hop xxxxxxx nlri xxxxxx community [ 1213131]" - but this example don't work
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
community is an attribute - place it before the nlri ..
ie: after the world attribute
monstaff
@monstaff
@thomas-mangin i tried send this 'announce attributes next-hop self community [ xxxxxx] nlri 100.10.0.0/24' and got error 'Iterator' object has no attribute 'afi'. May you send me an example plz.
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
@monstaff there are examples in the github repository.

In the old version of ExaBGP I could use the script interface to send "show routes"and I'd get the route list back. That command seems to be missing in the new version, or did I miss something? I'm still trying to parse the new reactor code, and while it looks a great deal cleaner it also seems to be missing a number of commands...
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
@kaosdrachen the command name have changed and most likely will do again.
can not recall what its called without looking at the code which I can not do ATM
Rens Houben
@kaosdrachen
Joy. Okay, i'll keep trying. The 'help' command isn't terribly helpful at the moment, probably for the same reason.

@maxigentr
Hi,
When I send a route to junos via exabgp, it looks hidden on the junos side?
What would be the reason?
maxigentr
@maxigentr
I see it as hidden because I show local next-hop.
I guess I need to enter a route in exabgp for this.
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
This is a BGP question, not ExaBGP - so I can not tell you.
maxigentr
@maxigentr
thanks
Is there an aggregate route feature at exabgp?
maxigentr
@maxigentr
how can i write static route at the exabgp?
monstaff
@monstaff
can i withdraw multiple routes ? syntax 'withdraw route 46.219.52.113/32 46.219.52.127/32 46.219.54.209/32' don't work .
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
withdraw route only accept one route

@wonderg
hi all, how could i monitor bgp connections state (IDLE, CONNECT, ACTIVE, etc)?
i know that i could get these information thru telnet localhost 9999 > show neighbor status, but i saw somewhere that is telnet-api requests are blocking ones, so it wouldn't be great to use such cmds for monitoring systems.
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
what version of exabgp are you using
Gleb
@wonderg
Currently I’m using 3.4.19
Gleb
@wonderg
so no chance to get this stats except telnet? =)
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
not on 3.4 - 4.0 as a cli

so i created this file, which contains a specific withdraw i want to send to another bgp speaker
how do i make it send this withdraw after the open dance etc has been done
Thomas Mangin
@thomas-mangin
the best way to call it is via ./qa/bin/functional
you write an exabgp conf file
