kkremitzkiThe session should end when you close your browser or log out
markvandenborre- change the individual cloned stud properties (location mostly)
markvandenborre- do a kind of bill of materials when finished with the plan
The session should end when you close your browser or log out
kkremitzki, the question is what is the default duration of time the session times-out ? because I'm getting kicked off the wiki every 8-10 minutes or so (rough estimation) usually while im in the middle of editing a page.
andre_kalHi. Does anyone know if in FreeCAD I can make the MillFace operation go beyond the bound of the face but only where there is no more material? Example: the face mill operation doesn't go to the borders even though there is no material there: https://ibb.co/cNvGCzd
andre_kal*the boundary of the face
andre_kalThe result is something like this (the problem areas are encircled)
scgtrpi keep meaning to try implementing it but i have too many other projects already
markvandenborrein the mean time, I have a group of ~50 pieces
markvandenborrethat would all need to move up 18mm in the z axis
markvandenborreis that possible to do with freecad?
markvandenborre(except for moving every single piece higher individually?)
markvandenborre"find every member of this group and move it up 18mm"
andre_kalmarkvandenborre, It works to just select multiple parts and change the position, doesn't it?
andre_kalWorks for me at least. I can select multiple parts or bodies and when I change the position, it affects them all
markvandenborreandre_kal: select all objects in the groups
markvandenborrethen go to edit -> placement...
andre_kalWell, the python console would be the most flexible I guess, especially if you have loads of objects.
markvandenborrethank you for the hint
markvandenborreit's been a productive day
markvandenborreI've modeled most of the foundation for our countryside house, and the first bits above ground
markvandenborreI believe it's the fourth or fifth time I'm starting to use FreeCAD, but now I really have a very practical goal
markvandenborreand somewhat of a deadline, for our contractor will soon be starting to work...
andre_kalYou're going to use FreeCAD for architecture? I heard it wasn't the most intuitive thing to do, good luck!
