For anyone interested, my project in Utah is very similar to this one that I found on my Twitter feed earlier

@becausealice2 while an interesting article, this site is killing me
Interesting project, though :+1:

My project is hopefully going to invalidate the questionnaire that is currently the gold standard for assessing suicidal thoughts and behaviors and our subjects are all current military or vets, we'll see how it all aligns with Reach Vet

Is the questionnaire ineffective?

She explained it to me but I only took psych 101 so a lot of it went over my head.
I think it was something about there are too few questions or the questions are too specific or not specific enough?

Ahh
And your solution is hopefully going to produce a more accurate result than the current questionnaire?

I just know that there's data being collected, and data is where I'm a Viking!
Hopefully :) we have about 2000 questions (most of which are unrelated, but when you get volunteers willing to answer questions, make sure you ask everything you want answers to, right?) And we'll see what kinds of trends we find
Specific to the questionnaire there's a couple hundred new questions, iirc

@becausealice2 interesting project in my opinion too. I am curious about your approach too! Sort of external validation, that is also good!
