@evaristoc spamming?

@RoniqueRicketts depends :)

I wanted to show the emoji ranking for year 2017 in fCC Main Channel, but there is a lot of overlapping in some of the positions.

I cleaned the list to get rid of some.

The previous analysis I made was between Dec 2014 until March 2017. Not enough for a good analysis.

I had to update the files to get the rest of this year.

It lasted long because I made an assumption about the timing of the download and made a code for that that eventually ran closely to exponential. A download that was usually 5h took THREE DAYS.

But anyway. I got the data.

Sorry, @RoniqueRicketts. We indeed don't usually make this kind of messages. This is just the simplest way I found to share some results with the people in the room, including you.

If that annoys you please say it! Your suggestions are always welcome.

Yes, although the most popular ever would be:

I also discovered that apparently there are a few a few emoji-champions in the main room.

One of them wrote 500 different emojies! I barely know 2 or 3 (which is the average).

At sometime between 2015-2017, I don't have the data right now. That's a bit considering that writing a single emoji in the main chat room takes time...
At least it takes me a lot of time. I don't know how to write all those emojies in gitter I guess.

@evaristoc Do you have any information on the context?
I happen to know from personal experience that, especially recently, a lot of the conversations in fcc/fcc are not at all programming related
