I want it on record that Chinese sentence was in my clipboard because someone else sent it to me and I needed to use a translator and that it was not written by me originally....
How embarrassing :(

@erictleung Well, I'm trying to become a ML engineer. Hopefully find internship at Amazon or Google.
Currently going through Data Camp and Khan Academy.
Entirely self-taught. Already a Software Developer.

@0283K__twitter oh nice! Best of luck! I think being a software developer will at least lower the technical issues faced with implementing the software and using the tools. Luckily, there are a plethora of resources out there.
@0283K__twitter you're probably overwhelmed by all the resources, but in case you haven't run across this, I can't help but share this with you based on your background https://github.com/ZuzooVn/machine-learning-for-software-engineers

@erictleung Thank you very much. I appreciate it.
One question. I'm at the stage of securing an internship. What would you guys suggest for that?
Thank you @Sprinting

@0283K__twitter if you have the opportunity, I would go to local meet ups on data science or tech if possible. In other words, meet and chat with people at companies or in the field you're interested in. There's a saying that most jobs are found though connections i.e. "networking". But don't be too pushy in saying you're looking for a job! Ask for advice and learn from others first, then you can ask around and investigate whether they have internships open. Sometimes at these meet ups, local companies will show up and advertise internship opportunities anyways.
@becausealice2 haha my Chinese isn't great either. Grew up not learning it, but I'm slowly trying to learn it. I took many years of preliminary Chinese, so I have kinda the basics down. I just need to do it
@becausealice2 just so this "Chinese" conversation isn't too off topic, maybe I won't have to "waste" my time in learning Chinese if technology can catch up, which it looks like there are some recent advances! https://techcrunch.com/2018/03/14/microsoft-announces-breakthrough-in-chinese-to-english-machine-translation/

Hello. Need some urgent help with something. I'm trying to perform relation extraction in R using supervised learning methods. Can anyone please briefly walk me through the best classification models to use and how to use them in this scenario. I've tried using Naive Bayes, but haven't been quite successful in deciding how my training data should look like. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I call bullshit. I've used wechat and it tried to tell me the "breaking bad" in Chinese is "no HIV zone"

@SauravDeb each machine learning method has inherent assumptions about your data, so maybe you'll using a method that might not be suited to your problem. Also, I'm confused by your question. Are you needing help in choosing a classification model? Or do you need help changing your data to fit a Naive Bayes model?
@becausealice2 haha the sentiment is similar
