Inching further; exploring elasticsearc; I can’t wait for it to start munching on my tablet library of pdf files. Good time to go to sleep.

Anyone know of any resources to advise on purchasing some type of server stack for mostly general supervised learning? With the potential to also do deep learning?
Or if anyone can provide advise on what to purchase. Have a decent budget.

@GoldbergData I don't have any experience with any general server. There are lot of options out there, though.

One that I know of (haven't tried it personally) has some documentation on it and is documented by fast.ai, a deep learning open course. They use Paperspace and here is the documentation on how to use it.

You can also use a free cloud shell if you have a Gmail account. It isn't very powerful or have much RAM, but you can use it to test things out. Similarly on the free or cheap side, there's dply, which gives you 1 CPU, 1 GB RAM, and 25 GB SSD for free for 2 hours. After 2 hours, the server is shutdown. You can also pay a little more to keep the server around for a bit.

Good luck!
