@becausealice2 what a great coincidence! But it's never a competition. Although I sympathize it can be disheartening that his skills may be better now, that now means you both can learn twice as much! Although he may be using different analysis packages, I'm sure there is some overlap. Revel in having a partner in learning (and struggling with errors in) R/Python together!

@becausealice2 thanks for the notes. I never thought of AI being used in those ways. I'm looking forward to the videos on youtube.

I don't want it to be a competition but I don't have a partner in learning. We've been married three and a half years and I'm just now learning that he knows R

He has impressive secret-keeping skills. What else is he hiding? 😅 @becausealice2
My girlfriend knows NOTHING about data science and she’s heard about R hundreds of times by now.

Oh jeez don't make me paranoid :joy:
I knew he was better at computers than me, but I wrote it off because obviously I'm better at math than him but now I'm not too sure I can claim that anymore
so I gotta get to it because I need something I can do better than him :joy:

😂😂😂 sorry I kid. Did he know you used R? It’s not a competition if you’re married! It’s a win-win!

I don't really use R that much, if I'm honest
but his R is better than my Python and that hurts
It's not so much about me doing it better because I need to be better, it's more about doing it better because this was supposed to be my thing. and while competition in marriage is bad, so is not having "your thing"

Agreed on “not having your thing”.
How is it better than yours? Let me be the judge. Repo links? 😅

I don't know what he does with his code
but mine is all in my github which is linked to my Gitter
and it's not all the code I've ever written, there
but it does accurately reflect my knowledge of R

Of course
Gitter mobile app isn’t great. I can’t access anything

I can definitely get not having "your thing". As much as having shared interests and hobbies/skills between partners, it is nice to have something of just your own. A balance to be made!

Thanks for bringing my attention to my Github, by the way. Finally stopped being too lazy to make it slightly more presentable :joy: @GoldbergData
