Uh, @damms005 I believe you checked into 'master'. I'm not sure that is the standards around these parts

Please guide me. I do not know how to go about submitting my work for the community to review/approve before I make a PR to merge it to the main repo

That is why I did everything in my own fork. I hope to merge my commits and make the PR when I get one of you guys to check if I did it all right

I'm not really and official viewer or contributor here. I've just done some customizations to DevDocs for our DevTeam. I would reach to @MasterEnoc

Can you help me review it please??

Sure

@MasterEnoc How is it going please?

Bryan Hernández
@MasterEnoc
@damms005 It is just a workflow matter. It is better for you to make a new branch for each thing you want to do and have your master branch fetching new updates from devdocs, nevetheless it is doable as you did.

I am also curious why the resources at https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Reference/API is not yet in devdoc, more so that there is already JavaScript devdoc, so it can simply be added to the JavaScript devdoc. This is because commonly used web APIs for majority of JavaScript web developers (like Storage API, Websockets API, Service Worker API, the window object, etc.) are only available in that section of MDN

You can find that documentation in devdocs as 'DOM'

@damms005 I read your comments and tested your scraper, looks like it works perfectly. Just look at the comment I left you.

Thanks @MasterEnoc . I have effected the changes. Also, I made some changes to the styling (following the guide), and I also moved my changes to a new branch (https://github.com/damms005/devdocs/tree/tailwindcss-devdocs) because I foresee this to be a continuous thing (I initially thought it will be a one-time, one-off thing. Hence I was doing all on master)

Please check the changes I made; and if they are okay for merge, kindly provide me on how to proceed

Hello. I'm interested in trying to contribute with adding a Yard scraper and filter.

In the issues I only freeCodeCamp/devdocs#257 closes about 6 years ago or so.

I'm aware that this may be quite a bit more difficult than a normal doc set. On the other hand though, it would potentially open up integrating countless gems api docs into devdocs.io, just as Found in https://www.rubydoc.info, but within the devdocs.io format and interface and with its search.

What do you guys think: Is it doable to integrate a yard with a yard template, that acts as a scraper and filter for devdocs?

About my own experience: I'm professionally working with Rails since years in an agency, but my knowledge regarding sinatra renders next to inexistent. So in short: Knows ruby, doesn't know sinatra.

Are there any folders I can mount so that I don't have to re-injest all the docs on each re-deploy of my docker container?

Is there a way to run devdocs in subfolder rather than /?

I've tried to play with map '/' do in config, but it stops once it gets to /docs/... :

127.0.0.1 - - [26/Mar/2021:16:24:58 -0700] "GET /docs/openjdk~11/index.json?1614023054 HTTP/1.1" 404 - 0.0007

Hey, is there an API to fetch data per language?

I see the scraper, though I wanted to check if you guys have a way to fetch data from outside.

There is no designated API, but static files on the webserver. See the following code snippet for the download URL for a doc archive (used for the cli thor dos:download): https://github.com/freeCodeCamp/devdocs/blob/main/lib/tasks/docs.thor#L340

Question on a similar thing, Looks like there are security issues with the current Docker setup. Is it possible to update the images to remove these security issues?
