var jsonString = '{"name": "Andrew", "languages":
["javascript", "swift", "java", "ruby", "html", "css", "qbasic"]}';
var jsonObject = JSON.parse(jsonString);
I get error in this code!
Q: create a new var jsonObject and then use native json objectto parse the jsonString and assign it to jsonObject. I tried both jsonObject. and jsonString nothing works.
var jsonString = '{"name": "Andrew", "languages":
["javascript", "swift", "java", "ruby", "html", "css", "qbasic"]}';
var jsonObject = JSON.parse(jsonObject);

My backgammon board is approaching looking like a real board. This is a good CSS learning task! Do you think I'll be able to make moveable chips to play a real game?

So for the CSS gurus, I'd LOVE to just have this all float into place, but it seems like using some absolute and/or relative positioning might be better if i make an actual game. Any thoughts about the best approach? For example, when I just had one set of up & down arrows I was able to get the top row to float next to each other, then used the "clear" property to get the bottom row to start over. But now with a 2nd half of the board to create, I think the clear is throwing things off.
@aldraco @ESOComputing thank you
There are a couple different ways I could create the structure. I'm not even to game logic yet!

No worries. :) For a game I'm all for setting a responsive container and then absolute/relative positioning within it.
I think it may be the best approach.
You want your game piece to be the "top" layer to your DOM sandwich
I'd love to talk more with you on it... I'm about to head out for a bit. Hopefully I'll catch ya later! Good luck!
